SYNOPSIS

This time he wants it all…

Hudson Granger’s family has been estranged since he was a boy. Sixteen years later, not much is different. Or so he thought. After an eighteen-month deployment, he arrives home to his family’s Texas ranch and is shocked by how much life has changed. His brothers are mending fences and have found love. Their father is slowly recovering from a massive heart attack. The kick to Hudson’s chest—learning he has an infant daughter.

Nurse Avery Collins never planned on telling Hudson their vacation fling had resulted in a child. He’d made it clear he wasn’t looking for anything serious, and after her dad ran out on her and her family, she didn’t want to rely on a man for anything. But when her daughter has a serious health scare, Avery’s hand is forced.

Despite their sizzling attraction, Avery is determined to keep Hudson at arm’s length, co-parenting only. But Hudson wants everything—a wife and a family. And he’s determined to get it.

MY 📝REVIEW📝: 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

Written beautifully leaving my heart light and my face smiling when it was over, this book had a good, steady pace so I barely noticed how quickly I was reading. The sad part? It was over too soon.

Cowboy Honor is the last book in this series, the latest Granger brother to find his happily-ever-after. And if any group of siblings deserved a happy ending, it was definitely the Granger brothers. This was Hudson and Avery’s story. Let me also say that Avery was desperately in need of a happy ending as well. I’m so happy they found it in each other.

This is the fifth and final book of the Tangled in Texas series. I read book one some time ago. In that book we are introduced to the dynamic of the Grangers, and it is not a good one. These siblings, thanks to their own father and his inability to deal with his wife’s terminal illness, have grown into solemn, angry men. There is a mystery revolving around the Granger patriarch that resolves at the end of book four and as a result of that deceit has Hudson dealing with finding out he is a father. A secret that was kept from him.

Since I have only read book one, and now book five, it was apparent I missed out on a lot. While Cowboy Honor can be read as a standalone, there were many references to something that happened in book four that I wish I was privy to beforehand. Having met all the Grangers in the first book, I feel like I missed out on their character developments. I was curious about them then and even more so now so needless to say, I will be back reading the other books.

This book is filled with emotions; angst, anger, frustration and betrayal being front and center. But quickly, Hudson finds himself a father and love and joy slowly shadow his other emotions. I won’t go into the specifics but I will tell you this book is about trusting and forgiveness and a love that is realistic. The main protagonists did not have an easy road. Both having issues other than their co-parenting. Avery and Hudson had their own doses of father issues that were not so easily resolved. I think I can honestly say that the romance wasn’t my favorite aspect in this particular book. I found myself invested with everything all at the same time.

This book was a pleasure to read and I definitely recommend it! While I did receive an advanced reading copy of Cowboy Honor, this is my honest and unbiased review and I thank you for taking the time to read it. 🙂

Synopsis:

He’s not looking for anything serious…

When his older brother asks him to move back to Whiskey River to help run the family ranch, former Marine Grant McAllister feels obligated to agree. After spending two years recovering from battle injuries, coming home finally feels right. Relishing being back on the land, Grant decides to refurbish the family’s old hunting cabin as his new home. When the artisan designer he hires turns out to be a beautiful, intriguing woman, he hopes to mix business with a little pleasure.

She needs to remain uninvolved…

After the death of her Marine husband, a pregnant Abby Rogers moved to Whiskey River to be closer to her husband’s family and escape her controlling mother. Reinventing herself as a designer, she now focuses on her business and mothering her young daughter. She has no time for relationships—no matter how tempting she finds her handsome new client. But when her wealthy mother threatens to sue for custody of her daughter, Grant’s shocking offer forces her to listen to her heart.

My 📝Review📝: 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

This book was even better than the previous McAllister brother’s book; Ex-military hero and a widowed heroine with an adorable daughter. From the moment these two are on the pages together, you can feel more than just chemistry. There is a strong pull and while Grant would love nothing more than to explore that attraction, Abby isn’t looking for a relationship. Abby has enough on her plate with running her small business and raising her adorable daughter. In addition, Abby is fearful of falling in love again. As you can expect, Abby keeps Grant at a good distance and yet she can’t help getting to know him. The way he is with Abby’s young daughter is only another thing to like about Grant. Abby knows her heart is fighting a losing battle.

This book is well written with a steady flow. There are emotional moments and a bit of angst along with a slow burn romance. I didn’t mind the time it took for Grant and Abby to become a couple. The author did a great job at building the friendship first. I also loved the Texas country and secondary characters that gave me even more enjoyment. While I will admit, Grant and Abby had some emotional obstacles to get over, I appreciated the slower pace.

I absolutely love when an author not only immerses me in the story, but puts me there as well. This author painted the perfect scenes, wrote engaging monologue as well as dialogue and all around gave me a five star novel.

While I was provided an advanced reading copy of The Cowboy, this is my honest and unbiased review and I thank you for taking the time to read it. 🙂

Synopsis:

Can they turn one spectacular night into a lifetime of love?

After a disastrous ride forces world champion saddle bronc rider Chase Walker back to his family’s ranch to recuperate, he’s happy to distract himself for a night with a mysterious, gorgeous woman. It should have just been a one-night stand, but she’s unforgettable.

Thanks to her cheating ex-fiancé, Ella Slade is done with rodeo cowboys…until she meets a sexy cowboy who catches a thief who stole her purse. What harm can one night of indulgence do? A lot, apparently, because when she arrives at her interview for a ranch manager job, Chase turns out to be her prospective boss. She’s adamant she won’t mix business with pleasure, but Chase suggests a deal—Ella takes the job, and they pretend that night never happened.

The longer they work together, the harder it is to pretend. Chase knows he’s falling for his midnight lover, but can he convince Ella to risk her heart again?

My 📝Review📝: 🌟🌟🌟🌟

Not mixing business with pleasure is easier said than done for Chase and Ella. Truly, Madly Texas was an enjoyable romance between two characters just trying to move forward in their lives. Chase is a side-lined Rodeo saddle bronc rider due to an injury. Unexpectedly, his recuperation is going to be life-changing. Chase just doesn’t know it yet. Ella is interviewing for a job as a ranch manager at Chase’s family ranch. She is hopeful and desperate to get the job. However, when she learns one of her bosses is a man she spent an unforgettable night with just days prior to her interview; Ella is crushed. Even if she is offered the job, how can she take it? Chase knows Ella is the best one for the job. So, they both agree to keep their night together a secret and basically forget it ever happened. With the amount of attraction and chemistry between them, it will be a losing battle.

Now while you might think the ending is predictable, the journey to get there wasn’t easy. Chemistry is only one aspect. Ella has trust issues a mile long and Chase isn’t planning on retiring from the rodeo circuit. Watching the ups and downs, with a bit of angst and two very likable characters was the perfect recipe for a well-written, sweet romance.

I truly, madly enjoyed this book~ ;). I am looking forward to the next book in the series.

Synopsis:

Professional rodeo cowboy Billy Wyatt is in the prime of his career. He’s having a fantastic year on the circuit, earning big money and leading the standings. Too immersed in his success and enjoying bachelorhood, he’s not interested in getting serious. But when a woman he’s never seen before shows up with a baby she claims is his, Billy’s world is turned inside out.

Erika Baylor, a PhD grad student, never planned to be a single mom, but when her cousin dies in a car accident, orphaning her infant son, Erika steps forward. She’ll help to care for her 4-month-old nephew until the baby can be reunited with his dad. She doesn’t expect the dad to be cocky, infuriating, and utterly irresistible.

Billy never thought he wanted to be a father, but looking into the eyes of the baby who is supposedly his—and whose blue eyes mirror his own—he’s hooked. But he’s hooked on the woman who’s holding the baby too…

My 📝Review📝: 🌟🌟🌟🌟

Montana Cowboy Daddy is the third book in the Wyatt Brothers of Montana Series. I have read the previous books and enjoyed them as much. The Wyatt family is very much the epitome of a loving and loyal. While each brother has their own interests, they will never hesitate to be there for each other. From the first book, the loyalty, love, and camradarie are present. Add a strong, protective, loving grandfather with mother who will except nothing but respect and strong ideals. I truly adored this family. I especially loved the closeness.

Billy is a rodeo champ. He has been very successful in his career and has a strong financial standing to help when he finally retires. Unfortunately, Billy has no plans to retire anytime soon. He plans on a rodeo career for as long as he can. Nothing will come in the way of that. Especially not finding out he is a father. Billy was a great character. I respected how he was determined to be a father as well as continuing his rodeo career. At first, Billy wasn’t going to make compromises but he soon realized he had to make some changes. If he wanted to be the best father he could be, Billy would have to stop thinking of only himself. He was very lucky to have Erika on the road with him so she could care for his son. At the beginning, Billy took Erika for granted although I don’t feel it was intentional. He was just so used to living footloose and fancy free. Watching his character grow and mature was one of my favorite aspects of the story.

The chemistry between Erika and Billy is strong from the beginning but neither acted on their feelings believing that they should just focus on baby Beck. I don’t want to spoil any of this story for you but I will tell you the whole story in itself is a slow build to an incredible ending.

There is a bit of a hint that has me very curious as to how Tommy’s story will go. I already feel like it will be emotional. If you are a fan of Montana cowboys, strong heroines, and emotional romances, I recommend this series. The books can be read in any order but I believe your reading experience will be more rewarding if you start with book one.

Synopsis:
He’s barely given her a passing glance…

Shandi Flanagan has lived in Paxton Springs, Texas, her whole life. When the bar and grill she’s been working at since high school comes up for sale, she vows to find the money to buy it. But when her house goes up in flames, so do her entrepreneurial dreams. The only good thing to come of it? Being rescued by the hottest cowboy around, Jace Paxton.

Jace has his hands full finding a way to grow his family’s vacation resort and tracking down the rustlers who stole his new herd of calves. At least being able to save Shandi, the town’s favorite sweetheart, goes right. She needs a place to stay, and there’s plenty of room on the Blackstone Ranch.

But he needs the bar and grill as much as she does. And while he’s a formidable competitor…she’s not. How can he take away her dream and future? How could she love him if he did?

My 📝Review📝: 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

This book has everything! I knew this would be a five star read from the first chapter. There are a lot of secondary characters; some from previous books in this series. My Kind of Cowboy has angst (not too much, though), suspense/mystery, drama, and romance. And guess what? The romance aspect was a slow burn so the anticipation of that made this book not only better, but realistic and believable. Having both Jace and Shandi’s POVs made this book even more enjoyable. There is nothing that frustrates me more or stalls my reading flow than when I have to guess at what the characters are feeling. So, having both POV’s is a top preference for me.

This book is the third in the series featuring the Paxton brothers. I did not read the previous two (yet) and had no trouble at all following along. This book can definitely be read as a stand-alone. However, I became very curious about how two of the brothers met their future Mrs. Paxtons. As soon as I can, I will be reading those books.

Shandi is the town sweetheart. She truly fit that persona; always putting others before herself even when she had to work two exhausting jobs to pay bills and the pay off the debts her deceased father left behind. When Shandi sees an oppotunity to make her dreams come true, she jumps at it. Despite the fact she has little to no assets, Shandi doesn’t give up. Not even when the crush of her life gets in the way.

Jace has known Shandi nearly all his life but recently has seen her in a different light. He wants to know her better, wants to protect her and take away her troubles. Even if it seems he is one of them.

The romance blossoming between Jace and Shandi is slow. But don’t worry because there are others things taking place in the story that will have your full attention. Rustlers, arsonists, drug addicts, are all part of the mystery and intrigue of this book. I will say no more in the way of details.

The ending was perfect. The epilogue even better. Overall, My Kind of Cowboy is a memorable, and engaging story with all the feels, and I highly recommend it as a must-read.

This was actually my first book by this author. She has just gained a new fan. I cannot wait to read more of her books!

This is my honest and unbiased review and I thank you for taking the time to read it. 🙂

Synopsis:

When he sets out to regain his family’s heritage, he never expects to fall in love.

Cowboy Duncan McAllister has worked tirelessly to make the family ranch profitable enough to buy back the section of land hard times forced them to sell a decade ago. When the owner of that land unexpectedly dies, leaving the ranch to his city-based daughter, Duncan finally sees his opportunity.

After her business partner boyfriend runs off with an intern—and all their clients—CPA Harrison Scott retreats to her Daddy’s Hill Country ranch to decide her next move. Her father’s sudden death leaves her floundering—does she rebuild her professional career or carry on the ranch he loved? After rebuffing Duncan’s offer to buy her out, Harrison is forced to turn to her handsome neighbor to learn the ropes of ranching.

Duncan tells himself he’s just being neighborly, but their immediate attraction soon deepens. How can he convince her that he wants her even more than his beloved land when she’s already been betrayed once before?

My Review: 🌟🌟🌟🌟

One of my favorite aspects about cowboy romance is the picturesque scenes the author paints in my mind. Living in the suburbs, close to everything, I more than appreciate the beauty of the landscapes in places such as the Hill Country in Texas where this story takes place. I love the idea of owning land that has been in the family for hundreds of years. Where I live, that isn’t the norm. That said, I find myself longing for some of the places I read about. And The Rancher did an incredible job of bringing me there.

This story is about the love of the land, legacy and loyalty. It is a story of two people who will have to learn to trust again in their decisions and each other if they want a truly happy and fulfilled life. This book is about carrying on a legacy.

Duncan McAllister grew up on land such as I described. Having lost his mother at a very young age, and then his father while barely in his teens, Duncan takes on the responsibility of running the ranch. Through financially tough times, Duncan’s stepmother had to sell off some of the generations-old McAllister land. Growing up, Duncan’s only goal was to buy the land back but unfortunately the gentleman who bought it loves it just a deeply and refuses to sell. And when he dies unexpectedly, the land is left to his daughter Harrison.

Harrison is devastated at what life has thrown at her recently. Her heart is overflowing with sadness. Because of recent events, Harrison is no longer a trusting person. Despite her inexperience, Harrison is determined to carry on the legacy her father has left for her. It is not going to be easy and she knows that. She also knows that there are people who want to buy the ranch property from her and she worries what they’ll do to make that happen.

I’ll tell you that the relationship between Duncan and Harrison builds steadily, but slowly due to Harrison’s as well as Duncan’s trust issues. Although I felt Duncan was sincere, there were more than a few times I became frustrated on his behalf because of Harrison’s behavior. I felt she gave off too many mixed signals. In the end, both Harrison and Duncan became the couple I knew they would be. Their love for each other was believable and they each put the other’s concerns before their own. Both seeming to make sacrifices for the other but in the end both gaining everything they dreamed of.

The Rancher is book one in The McAllister Brothers series in which I was given an advanced reading copy. This is my honest and unbiased review and I thank you for taking the time to read it. 🙂

Synopsis:

When the woman of his dreams walks through his door, it seems too good to be true…

World famous metal artist Gabe Walker is elated when the woman he’s loved since high school strolls into his workshop to ask him out on a date. But there’s a catch—it’s with another woman. Gabe has no trouble saying no to that date, but with Chantel? The answer’s always hell yes.

With two failed relationships behind her, Chantel Chandler wants to keep things light. She’s recently back in Whiskey River, Texas, and is determined to pick up the pieces of her life. But her casual friendship with Gabe quickly combusts into an intensely hot affair with an unexpected surprise…a pregnancy.

Chantel would love to be a mom, but she needs to be loved for herself first. Gabe says he’s all in, but how can she trust again when she’s been let down so many times?

My Review: 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

Oh, this book was so good!
I felt like I had been waiting forever for Gabe’s story. Considering this is the first book in the Texas True series you are probably wondering why. I have always been a huge fan of Tule Publishing. I absolutely love how their Texas and Montana Born series’ interconnect lightly with characters from previous books. Not to mention, they can all be read as stand alone romances. Tule Publishing is the home of many talented authors and I always stalk their website to see whats coming.

That said…..I have previously been introduced to Gabe throughout a few books in the Texas Born world and I always wondered and hoped that he would one day have his own story told. Eve Gaddy did an incredible job bringing romance to Gabe. I couldn’t have been happier that Gabe and Chantel made a life with each other.

Gabe and Chantel…..
These two have known each other since high school. During those younger years, Gabe had a huge crush on Chantel but she was dating his best friend at the time. Gabe being Gabe, he never made a move. He was more than disappointed his friend got to her first. While Chantel was with Gabe’s friend, she believed Gabe didn’t like her because he was always frowning at her. Of course he was. His friend was dating the girl of his dreams.

While they respectively went their separate ways after high school, both ended up back in their hometown of Whiskey River. But it is a couple of years before they have their chance. I don’t want to spoil any of this story for you. I loved it so much. So much in fact the bar is set very high to impress me with the coming books in this series. Gabe was the whole package. First and foremost, a gentleman. I haven’t claimed a book boyfriend in a long time since so many books I’ve read in the past year have had cookie cutter heroes. That is not a bad thing, just saying that Gabe was the first in a while that pushed ALL my buttons.

Texas Forged is a wonderful story of taking chances, romance, healing and love. There are some emotional elements that broke my heart; some angst and drama as well. Watching Gabe and Chantel profess their love was believable and heartwarming. I absolutely recommend this book! Actually, I highly recommend it.

This is my honest and unbiased review and I thank you for taking the time to read it. 🙂

Rodeo bull rider Shane Nichols will do anything for a friend. So when his pal Cash’s girl is about to marry the wrong man, Shane does what needs to be done: he kidnaps the bride!

Poppy Hamilton isn’t expecting to be slung over some gorgeous cowboy’s shoulder and spirited off to a remote mountain cabin in the middle of a blinding Montana snowstorm—even if it’s only until the wedding is over. Poppy still thinks that’s a bit extreme, but she has her own reason for missing the wedding. Besides, she’s the florist, not the bride!

So much for good deeds! What’s Shane supposed to do now—snowbound with a woman who makes all his hormones sit up and take notice, who isn’t anybody’s fiancée, and who is dangerously close to stealing his heart?

My 📝Review📝: 🌟🌟🌟🌟

I found this second book of this series to be a sweet, enjoyable read. I won’t lie though, I did think at the beginning that Shane wasn’t a very intelligent character. His thoughts and actions brought me to that realization. However, once I got to experience parts of the book through his perspective, I realized that Shane was just a simple man with simple needs. He wasn’t looking for love or commitment during this time in his life. In addition, Shane was thoughtful and considerate of others as well as being a loyal friend. I believed he was a goodhearted hero. Shane was the type of character I’d love to know in real life.

Poppy had her own frustrations and vulnerabilities. While Poppy loved her father, he could be more than a bit intimidating. Poppy’s dad, while not often on the pages was a big part of the story. I won’t say why but as you read, you will no doubt, be aware of his interfering and influences.

As you will see from the blurb, Poppy and Shane meet when he mistakenly believes her to be someone else. Poppy could have stopped him by saying he had the wrong girl. However, she has her reasons why she didn’t.

This book is a safe read. There is not a lot of angst, if any. And even though the story is predictable sometimes, I enjoyed it. The Cowboy Steals a Lady was lighthearted and fun to read. I liked it better than the first book in this series. Of course, I’ll be looking out for Cash’s book next.

If you are looking for a short, sweet story to lighten your day, I recommend The Cowboy Steals a Lady. This is my honest and unbiased review and I thank you for taking the time to read it. 🙂

Synopsis:

Mr. Stubborn.

Mace Nichols is an ‘I’ll die with my boots on’ cowboy. Old-school. Tough, silent and honorable. Which is why he’s leaving his wife, Jenny. She has helped him build his dream—the Montana ranch they loved. Now he can’t give her the family she’s always dreamed of, so he has no choice: he needs to set her free. It makes perfect sense to him.

It doesn’t make a bit of sense to Jenny! She loves her stubborn, bull-headed husband. She admires his courage, his tenacity and his determination to always Do The Right Thing—even if, in this case, it is the stupidest thing he’s ever done.

Mace is right—Jenny has always wanted a family. But she wants a family with Mace! How can she convince the most honorable, stubborn man in the world what really matters in life?

My 📝Review📝:

3.5 stars
I struggled with my review for this book. While the writing itself is done well, I didn’t like the storyline. After the first several chapters I was ready to call it quits. Because I’m the type of person whole hates to leave things unfinished, I continued to read. There is definitely a happy ending to Mace and Jenny’s story although predictable. I have read many other books by this author in which I enjoyed. That was partly the reason I didn’t hesitate to read this one. The synopsis gives a great indication of the premise so there were no surprises in that aspect. Unfortunately, Mace took being stubborn to a level that really wasn’t necessary. He acted selfishly, though he claims his actions are selfless. Mace was immature and I felt even cruel at times. I understand male pride. I truly do. But Mace received no sympathy from me; I was just so frustrated with him.

I truly can’t continue this review the way I want to without giving spoilers. There are just several aspects that I didn’t enjoy, didn’t connect with. I will say however, that I believed Mace and Jenny were meant to be together. Though they spent nearly the entirety of the book separated, the flashbacks helped me understand their relationship. I never enjoy leaving negative reviews, so I want to make sure you understand this. The author’s writing was good and the pace of the story moved steadily which is why I didn’t rate less. My disappointment is due to a matter of preference. This book was not for me. The separation of the H/h was too long.

This is my honest and unbiased review and I thank you for taking the time to read it. 🙂
