SYNOPSIS:

ATTENTION: If you have been a victim of false advertising, you may be entitled to compensation. If you were ever hired to take care of a fourteen-year-old boy’s knee injury on a luxury ranch in the Middle of Nowhere, Utah, but that fourteen-year-old boy ended up being a tall, rough-and-tumble, muscular, one-hundred-percent all-man cowboy by the name of Rhett Jameson, you may have been put at risk for falling in love. Please seek counsel immediately.

Dear Counselor,

It was supposed to be simple favor for my very important boss, Frank Kaminsky of the Salt Lake Slammers professional basketball team—go to his good friend Tex Jameson’s luxury ranch and provide personal medical care for his recently injured teenage son.

I thought it’d be a working vacation of sorts—a chance for my city-girl self to experience something I would never otherwise do—but everything is upside down, and absolutely nothing is as I thought it would be.

For one, this patient is not a teenage boy.
He’s a real-life, blue-eyed, tough-as-nails, thirtysomething cowboy who is so darn strong he looks like he could lift a car just for the heck of it.

He’s also stubborn, rude, and we don’t get along…at all.

Add in the heart-melting vision of him as a single father to the cutest little girl on the planet, and I’ve found myself in a whole different dimension of trouble.

Lust. Feelings. A whole lot of enemies-to-lovers-style complication.

Please help me. My name is Dr. Leah Levee, I am a victim of false advertising, and if I’m not careful, this Grumpy Cowboy might just be the death of me.

MY 📝REVIEW📝: 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

Wow! This book has it all! I was engaged from the very first pages and could not put this book down. I have never read this author before but you can be sure that I will be changing that after having read this gem. What an amazing, passionate novel! This book is heavy on family and loyalty. I loved the equal bullheadedness between both the hero and heroine. Even the secondary characters such as Tex, made the story more poignant. I just can’t say enough. I don’t want to give any of the story away but I can tell you a few things you already inferred from the blurb.

Rhett’s pride and loyalty to his friend gets him injured. The injury is pretty bad but that won’t keep Rhett from doing his job even despite the obvious fact his stubbornness is only hindering his recovery. Tex, who is Rhett’s father, takes it upon himself to bring in a medical professional to help move along Rhett’s recovery without him hurting himself further. Of course when the beautiful Leah arrives on the ranch, Rhett is not happy with his father’s interference. To say he is beyond accepting of the doctor’s help is an underestimation.

The story moves along in a perfect pace as Rhett and Leah navigate their doctor/patient relationship. Rhett was a real jerk at times to Leah but because she is just as stubborn, they made it work and as a result, there are some pretty humorous moments. As they got to know each other, their feelings changed and grew. Some of the best moments in this book was watching that unfold. Oh, and the humor was tear-worthy. I have to say, Leah was hysterical. This is definitely a book I would re-read over and over. There is a perfect balance of seriousness and humor. And if those attributes aren’t enough, you can be sure to fall in love with the scene stealer of the story which is Rhett’s adorable daughter Joey.

I loved this book so much and truly believe you will as well. While I received and advanced reading copy of Grumpy Cowboy, this is my honest and unbiased review. Thank you for taking the time to read it. 🙂

Holiday with You by Claudia Y. Burgoa

My 📝 Rating: 5 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

I loved most every aspect of this book. The characters are wonderful, diverse, loyal, witty and all-around lovable. The H/h of the story have so much chemistry and attraction for each other. Their connection is beyond just physical. Both Colin and Audrey were great for each other. They were both what the other needed but didn’t realize it until they got to know each other. The small quirky town of Winter Valley is a place I would love to visit. I’ll admit the only disappointment I had was there were no mentions of how the town itself celebrated Christmas. While we met a few of the citizens; I wished for more details and scene descriptions. Small fictional towns are known for their elaborate schemes for holiday decorating. Even with that small disappointment, I still loved this book very much. And I am hopeful we will see a lot more of the Bradford family. There are several more siblings that need a happily-ever-after.

Audrey and Colin…..
Colin has recently moved back to his hometown after a nasty divorce. Colin, along with his adorable four-year-old daughter, Perry, have settled in and are thriving. Well, at least Perry is thriving and that is all that matters to Colin. After one failed attempt at love, he has no desire to go down that road a second time. That is until a beautiful, intelligent, headstrong woman breezes into town and into his life with a literal bang.

Audrey is sent to Winter Valley by her boss to acquire a property. If she isn’t able to make the deal, Audrey will likely lose her job. Finding the owner of said property is becoming a challenge but Audrey is not going to give up. Fortunately, one gorgeous Colin Bradford is just the distraction she needs. But what happens when Audrey and Colin become too close? How will they make a relationship work when they don’t live in the same state? In addition, what will happen when a secret the town has been keeping from Audrey is revealed?

You’ll just have to read Holiday with You to find out. This is a great book and I’m so glad I got to read it. I absolutely recommend it!

This is my honest and unbiased review and I thank you for taking the time to read it. 🙂

Can a fun-filled activity list from the past help to create a new future?

Art teacher Harley Welsh is charmed by her newest student—a little girl whose shyness disappears the second her hands are covered in clay or paint. Moving wasn’t easy for Nadia so to help her, Harley resurrects the countdown to the Great Pumpkin Patch—a must-do fall activity list from her childhood. She’s determined to show Nadia and her family how wonderful life in Crossvine Creek is. But Harley didn’t plan for Nadia’s father to be single, distractingly handsome and everything she’s running from.

New high school football coach Josh McBride is hoping a smaller town will give him more time to focus on his children. While his son is adjusting to the move, his daughter is struggling. Harley’s offer to help via a fun, seasonal-themed activity list is a welcome gift. Her love for the town is infectious, and soon his kids aren’t the only ones falling under her spell.

My Review: 🎃🎃🎃🎃

Pumpkin Patch Sweethearts (The Welsh Sisters, #2)Pumpkin Patch Sweethearts by Sasha Summers

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

So sweet; this book was very enjoyable for several reasons. First, the characters are wonderful and help move this book along steadily. While the relationship development between Harley and Josh is slow; I didn’t mind. There is so much going on in this book aside from a romance that I was completely engaged. It was wonderful to watch.

Josh is a widower and moved his small family to Crossvine Creek in the hopes he will be able to focus more on his two young children. Josh has a son and a younger daughter, Nadia, who is painfully shy around most people. Nadia is not engaging in school and wants nothing more than to stay home. Fortunately, Harley is one of the very few people that Nadia feels comfortable around due in part to their mutual love of art. Harley is a wonderful character; her heart is big and she is selfless and nurturing. Her capacity to love is one of the things that make her an endearing heroine. She is so easy to fall in love with. So then why is Josh a grump when it comes to Harley? You’ll just have to read their story to find out.

Another aspect I absolutely loved about this book is the Fall theme. The small town of Crossvine Creek goes out of their way to celebrate this time of year with fun activities and festivals. The citizens who we meet in the book are a great addition and contribute to make this an even better book. Harley and her family are perfect. I felt such a strong connection to them all.

This book is smoothly written and you’ll be at the end before you know it. I won’t give any details away but I can tell you that watching the McBride family welcomed was so sweet. Crossvine Creek is definitely a town I can’t wait to read more about.

This is my honest and unbiased review and I thank you for taking the time to read it. 🙂
