Gimme an F …

Gimme a U …
What’s that spell?
Forks University Fashion Academy was my dream school. And my spoiled little heart was used to getting what I wanted … until now.
Being rescued by the annoyingly gorgeous Dominick Moretti, my sworn enemy per our family’s endless feud, turned my designer life into a nightmare.
I had been minding my own business—pulling a teeny-tiny BAD prank on behalf of my sorority, Beta Alpha Delta—when the fraternity, Delta Iota Kappa caught me. Lucky for me, the DIK who had come to my rescue was none other than Dominick.
We should hate each other. I mean, his family had basically stolen my dad’s business plan, making them rich and creating a grudge deeper than any university rival. But try telling that to my lady bits.
Suddenly, everything seemed so last season compared to being with him.
I’d had no idea fraternizing with the enemy would prove to be more dangerous than running in six-inch stilettos.
Walking away from our families was the only way to be together … but was I ready to trade my comfortable life of luxury for a chance at love?

Releasing February 9

Kat Addams is a forever twenty-nine-year-old fashionista following her lifelong dream of writing contemporary romance inspired by the exotic men she meets in her worldly travels. At least, that’s what she would like for you to think. She’s certainly not a stay-at-home mom indulging in excessive daydreaming, frozen pizzas, an unhealthy addiction to purchasing pajamas, and one too many cocktails on the regular. That’s some other romance author. The poor thing probably has to sneak away upstairs to write her dirty stories! What would her family think? Thankfully, that’s not Kat!

COVER REVEAL Title: “Very Bossy Christmas” by Author Kayley Loring, Genre: Steamy Romantic Comedy, Release Date: October 26, 2020, #KayleyLoringAuthor. @GiveMeBooksPR

Title: A Very Bossy Christmas
Author: Kayley Loring
Genre: Steamy Romantic Comedy
Cover Design: Kari March Designs
Release Date: October 26, 2020

What’s the actual last thing you’d ever want your executive assistant to see you doing the morning after you had hot, drunk, angry sex with her in a terrible hotel room? Dancing around your terrible hotel room to “Come and Get Your Love” like Star-Lord in Guardians of the Galaxy—naked? Yeah. Me too.

And yet, here we are.
This isn’t even the most unprofessional thing that’s happened between us in the past couple of weeks.
The first was when I agreed to let her have Christmas Day off, but only if she goes with me to three family gatherings as my fake girlfriend.
The second was when she caught me belting out a Christmas song on stage in the awful hotel bar.
The third was the hot, drunk, angry sex that followed, but I do not regret it.
And she hasn’t even found out the real reason I need her by my side this holiday season.
I need to pull it together before I do the dumbest, most unprofessional thing of all—fall head over heels in love with the only assistant who’s lasted more than a month at the job and claims to hate me and my moods more than she hates eggnog.

And I’ve seen how much she hates eggnog.

Before writing steamy romantic comedy novels, Kayley Loring got a BFA in creative writing from a Canadian university and had a fifteen-year career as a screenwriter in Los Angeles (under a different name). She mostly wrote PG-13 family comedies that studios would pay her lots of money for and then never make into movies. In 2017 she decided to move to the Pacific Northwest and write about all the fun stuff that she wasn’t allowed to write about in those PG-13 scripts. Now she’s breathing cleaner air and writing dirtier words. It’s an adjustment she’s happily getting used to.

I can explain.
Kind of.
I realize the wig and makeup don’t help my case, but that’s not the point.
The point is, Sebastian came at me first.
He’s the one who started this war, but I’m the one who finished it.
I’m not even sorry about it.
Fine. Maybe I am. A little.
That’s the only explanation as to why I just agreed to play his fake girlfriend so he—we—can win a million dollars on the hottest reality show contest ever filmed on campus.

My Review: 5 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

Subscriber Wars by Kristy Marie

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Wow! This is another original story from this author. Her talent for storytelling is incredible. You can’t help but to fall helplessly in love with her characters.
If you’re a little bored with the same old romance tropes and genres then Kristy Marie is an author you will want to read, if you haven’t already. Her writing style is crafty, witty, engaging and down-right exceptional. I am 100% in love with her books. Each book is better than the one before. Each book has depth, complexity and originality. ALL her characters are amazing and you will love them all.

So, Subscriber Wars is a standalone and part of a series. They are next generation to her Commander in Briefs series. You don’t have to read those books prior but I promise you will have an even better reading experience if you do. Subscriber Wars is Valentina and Sebastian’s story. This book has a myriad of emotions throughout. Angst being first and foremost. Wit, snark, humor, and sexiness is in abundance as well. This book is thorough and entertaining and for me, it will be hard to knock it off the pedestal I have placed it on.

Unfortunately, I cannot tell you anything about the book other than it’s fantastic. The story/drama unfolds with each chapter and culminates with a fantastic and unpredictable ending. Those two epilogues? Priceless!

Vee and Sebastian have incredible chemistry. One of my favorite aspects of this book is having both H/h perspectives. So happy I could be inside both their heads. Vee is a unique heroine; I adored her personality and the way she owned up to her mistakes. Sebastian was another amazing character. His persona is willful, arrogant, and sexiness oozes from him. And yet he is not perfect. Sebastian also doesn’t run from his mistakes. But there are things he does want to run away from. That aspect gives the book depth. I wondered throughout, what his decision would be in the end.

I absolutely recommend this book to everyone who loves romance with a side of snark and a whole lot of humor. Subscriber Wars is a perfectly balanced novel.

This is my honest and unbiased review and I thank you for taking the time to read it. 🙂

#NewRelease ~ “Any Luck At All” an all-new witty, must-read #RomanticComedy from New York Times bestselling author Denise Grover Swank and A.R. Casella is available now! ~ @DeniseMSwank #ARCasellaAuthor #SocialButterflyPR @jennw23

She might be wishing for the wrong kind of luck.

Any Luck At All, an all-new witty, must-read romantic comedy from New York Times bestselling author Denise Grover Swank and A.R. Casella is available now!

Georgie Buchanan doesn’t know the first thing about running a brewery—she doesn’t even like beer—so she’s thrown when her grandfather leaves his business to her and her three siblings. Selling Buchanan Brewery would be the prudent approach, and while Georgie is, first and foremost, a businesswoman, keeping it might be her best chance of connecting with her half-brother, Jack. But she quickly learns that what she thought was a fixer-upper is a money pit, the employees are all eccentric to the extreme, and her inheritance comes with a shocking catch. Her one hope for success lies with River Reeves, the handsome brewmaster who learned at her grandfather’s feet…if she can avoid falling for him.

After learning his best friend and boss is selling the brewery they built together to a soulless corporation, River quits on the spot, only for Georgie Buchanan to offer him a job the very same night. Helping her turn Buchanan Brewery around is his dream job, the perfect homage to the man who taught him everything and helped give him roots. There’s one problem: his new boss is his dream woman, and she’s not the type to mix business and pleasure. Balancing a new job, a new puppy, and a growing infatuation with his boss, River knows something has to give.

If Georgie has any luck at all, she’ll be able to turn Buchanan Brewery around without losing her mind or her heart. But as River helps her weather everything from her uncle’s possessed cat to a séance, she realizes she might be wishing for the wrong kind of luck.

A sweet and sassy contemporary romance from New York Times bestselling author MaryJanice Davidson!

Captain Ava Capp has been flying from her past for a decade. She’d much rather leave it, and her home state, behind forever. But when she finds herself back in Minnesota, against her better judgment, everything goes sideways in a way she never expected it to.

M.E. Dr. Tom Baker has never forgotten Ava and the cold case she ran away from. When she shows up unexpectedly in town, in spite of himself, sparks fly. Which is terrible because he can’t stop his growing attraction to her. Can these two Type-A’s let their guards down and work together to put Ava’s tragic past behind her for good? And keep their hands off each other at the same time?

My Review:  3.5 Stars

Truth, Lies, and Second DatesTruth, Lies, and Second Dates by MaryJanice Davidson

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

3.5 Stars…
I was actually torn between 3 & 3.5 stars for this rating. I ended up generously awarding the latter. Truth, Lies and Second Dates had the potential to be a five star read for me. Unfortunately, I didn’t love it, didn’t connect nor did I feel the writing was smooth. The pace was slow in my opinion. At least the first half of the book felt that way. This book is 320 pages but it felt like much more.

From the synopsis, I inferred the story to be different from what it was. The premise was explained well enough but the execution didn’t work for me. To be honest, I expected a darker tone. Ava, one of the main characters, was too sarcastic for me to take seriously; and her humor made me cringe during certain conversations. There is a time and a place for everything. This author didn’t feel that way. As a result, I wasn’t laughing all the time. The dialogue between characters was okay, but at times I had to re-read paragraphs because I could not follow along. Several times, I wondered if I missed some vital information because too many aspects didn’t make sense. Another aspect that interrupted my reading flow was the inserts of definitions at the end of each chapter and way too many parenthesis throughout the text. Also, the sudden switches in POV were another issue I had with flow. This book was very busy.

At some point after 30%, I ignored the monotony and decided if I wanted to like this book at all, I would view this story as a murder mystery and not a romantic comedy, as well as ignore the numerous onslaught of tropes. While the romance aspect ended up being cute, I didn’t feel this book was romance. That’s ok, though because I knew going in that the author was integrating many tropes; unfortunately that just didn’t work for me. But thankfully, one stood out so I focused on that. The “who done it” aspect. And to my delight and surprise, I didn’t see the end coming. Nor was I able to guess the murderer until that moment of resolution. I warn you now, there is no foreshadowing in this book. Situations just spontaneously arise. That said, regarding the climax, or my view on it, it was rushed. I had to re-read part of that final scene a few times.

To sum this review up, I didn’t hate the book. While there were parts of the writing I didn’t connect with, there were a few that I delighted in. This author took the dark undertone from the main focus and wrote characters with intellect, witticism, flaws, outrageousness and created an original story. Truth, Lies, and Second Dates, was most definitely something I have never read before. Nor have I read this author before. You cannot take this book seriously.

I want to close this review with one thought. If you are researching this book, deciding if you will read it, don’t look too deeply into the reviews. There are many mixed feelings about this book. Some loved it, some hated it and like me, some thought is was okay. We all have different preferences when we chose a book and while this book didn’t resonate with me in a fully posiitve light, you may love it.

This is my honest and unbiased review and I thank you for taking the time to read it. 🙂

“Tsk. Tsk. Those rippled hills of ab muscles won’t save you, my little friend.”
I watch as the drop of water trails the length of Sebastian’s chest, dripping down his belly button. “Ah shit, wrong turn. Now, you’ll die a slow death in those stupid yellow shorts of his.”
The drop of water absorbs into the fabric of his waistband and disappears from sight. “Farewell, my friend. Hell might be hard, tanned and smell like sunscreen and moonshine, but the ruler is quite the dickhead.”
I’m over caffeinated and hangry as I watch as the chair thief behind the window slips a t-shirt over his head and fills a glass of water straight from the tap, pausing long enough to pop what looks to be a painkiller. It appears our neighborhood hoebag had a rough night and an even rougher morning, considering he pretty much crawled to the kitchen.
A pot of coffee brews while he leans both hips against the counter, waiting while he smashed his temples between his palms. Poor baby. It’s hard staying pretty when you’re trashed and sleep deprived, but somehow he manages, which is really a shame.
The last time I was hungover I looked like a literal troll, hissing at Aspen when she offered to wash the dirt and leaves out of my hair before I crawled into bed.
I frown at the window at his perfectly coifed hair and celebrity housewife complexion. He might look like he’s put together on the outside but underneath those ugly shorts is a mess of a man with the personality of a house cat.
Sebastian’s hand drops slowly from his temple and hovers in the air. He’s staring directly at me when he lowers all his fingers but the middle one.
Good morning to you too, jerk.
I can explain.

About the Author:

A self-proclaimed reader enthusiast, Kristy started her writing journey back in 2009, reading and writing when her daughter was napping. Establishing her place in Corporate America (because something had to pay the bills), writing became her dirty, late-night secret.
After eight long years, she released her debut novel, Commander. It was a long road, but she can honestly say, the road less traveled had the most beautiful sights.

The only thing Kristy Marie loves as much as reading and writing is sports! Especially those that require muscles and a nice ass. Her favorite is, and always will be, baseball. She’s such a fan, that she even married her small town’s high school’s centerfielder where they still live with their three badass kids.

Three months later, she’s bunking with her best friend and scrambling to make sense of her life sans cheating ex.

Theo is about to jet off for a long weekend in picturesque Scotland to be the best man at his brother’s wedding. With stunning views and nothing but free food and drinking ahead, he should be more excited than he is. If only he didn’t have feelings for the damn bride.

When fate throws Lucie and Theo together under unlikely circumstances, they bond over doughnuts and their mutually disastrous love lives … and it seems like they might be able to help each other out. As long as they both stick to the rules, there’s nothing that can go wrong.

Contract in place? Check.

Hot, fake dates? Check.

Sexual chemistry steamy enough to scorch sheets? Double che—

Wait, what?

That wasn’t in the agreement …
A standalone romcom. Book 2 in the Love For Days series. Please note: Although this book can be read as a standalone, it is set after Man Crush Monday (Book 1 in the series) so will contain spoilers.

Kirsty Moseley has always been a passionate reader since she was a little girl, devouring books overnight, barely sleeping and paying for it at school the next day. Writing has come similarly to her and once she discovered Wattpad, she finally plucked up the courage to post one of her stories. Seven million reads later, she self-published her debut novel THE BOY WHO SNEAKS IN MY BEDROOM WINDOW, which later became one of 10 Finalists for the 2012 Goodreads’ Choice Awards, Best YA Fiction. Shocked and overwhelmed by the response, she published her second novel ALWAYS YOU a few months later and hasn’t looked back.
If she had to sum herself up in one word, it would probably be ‘daydreamer’ – but unlike most of her school teachers, she doesn’t necessarily view that as a bad thing. After all, she read somewhere once that books are like waking dreams….

Henri, in the middle of
Chapter Four…
It’s probably
weird to be sitting on the doorstep of the man I cyberstalked after his whole love sucks speech after my failed
wedding. But I won’t apologize for waiting for Luca here at what I think is his
house, because you don’t get what you need in life if you don’t go for it.
Still, maybe
Dogzilla and I should be waiting in my car instead? At least that way, I could
turn on the radio while we wait. And the air conditioning.
I’m about to move
to the car when a clunker chugs around the corner, one headlight out, and turns
into the driveway.
This is
definitely the wrong house.
I’m sitting on
the porch of a stranger’s house, hoping that’s a woman driving, because if it’s
a woman, at least I know I won’t be in danger.
Of falling in
love with her at first sight, I mean.
The engine shuts
off, and while I don’t often trespass at midnight, I have this feeling that
jumping up with Dogzilla and making a run for it right now is exactly the wrong
move. A well-timed, “Oh, sorry, I thought you were someone else,”
will give us all a laugh, I’ll take my cat and leave, and then two complete
strangers will have a weird story to tell their friends over margaritas—or an
iced tea, in my case—and huh.
This would make
an excellent meet-cute for my friend Dorothea’s next steamy romance novel. I’ll
have to drop her a note too.
The occupant of
the car is still sitting in it, and the figure illuminated by the street light
looks too big to be a woman.
Dang it.
He also seems to

“Be ready to
run, Dogzilla,” I whisper.
My lazy cat
doesn’t move, and instead snores in my lap.
Easier this way
anyway, since it’s not like I can count on her to follow alone when I take off
running at full-steam.
Which doesn’t
happen all that often, if we’re being honest here. I’m a writer, not a runner.
The way his hair
is moving—
That is Luca Rossi.
I rise, cradling
Dogzilla, and when Luca looks my way, I give him a finger wave and a smile.
The light isn’t
bright enough for me to see what he’s saying, but his lips are definitely
moving, and if I’m not mistaken, he’s wearing the same long-suffering
expression my father usually has when I tell him I’m engaged.
It might also be
remarkably similar to the expression Luca was wearing when he recognized me at
Duggan Field earlier today too.
Not my intention
to ambush him at work, I swear. I was curious about the ballpark—I’m curious
about a lot of things—so when I caught wind on social media of a writer
organization that was touring the park, it was easy enough to get here in time
today to join the group.
And it was
fascinating to see where the players work out, to smell the chairs the
announcers sit in, what it feels like to stand in the dugout, and hear how many
light bulbs have to be replaced every day.
There’s a pop and
a creak as the car door swings open, and I suddenly desperately need to know
why Luca Rossi, millionaire sports star, lives on a grocery store clerk’s

It’s one of the

I either have a
lot of experience understanding people because I write good characters, or I
have a lot of experience with frustrating men after five failed engagements.
Plus my lifelong

“Hi, Luca!
Great game tonight. That catch you made in center field was like—”
“The one
where I didn’t move, the one where I stepped three feet to my left, or the one
where I had to take two steps back?”
Okay, yeah, he
had an easy game. “How did you know where the ball was going to be? That’s
like—it’s like you’re psychic.”
“It’s called
being a professional.” He squeezes his eyes shut briefly, opens them,
eyeballs Dogzilla in my arms, and then sighs again. “To what do I owe the
pleasure of your company tonight?”
Wow. He’s cranky.
Not gonna lie.
I know it’s
probably me.
But that’s no
excuse for not forging ahead. I didn’t come all this way to chicken out.
“You remember the last time we saw each other?”
afternoon in the clubhouse?”
“I liked
your hat, but I meant the time…before that.”
He closes the
distance between us with three casual steps. “Nope.”
And I go
momentarily speechless as a waft of something delicious teases my nose.
But only
momentarily. A quick recovery is a gift. Or possibly a defense mechanism.
“The time we were together…in that town…with that big monument…and the
event thing…”
No answer.
“The event
thing that didn’t—”
“I’m trying
to block it from my memory.”
“Oh. Oh!
Thank you. That’s very kind of you. Sorry. I didn’t realize—”
“That I
wouldn’t want to remember your ruined wedding, that you like to redecorate
people with dessert, and that your ex-fiancé is the first man that my mother’s
dated in three years and I might have to start calling him Stepdad?”
I wince.
My heart also weeps
because yeah, still not over seeing Jerry lock lips with a woman who could’ve
been my mother, and hearing that it might actually be going somewhere is salt
in the wound.
“So, no,
Henri, I don’t remember the last time we were together. At least, I won’t, once
I get inside and pour myself a large enough vodka tonic. Care for one?”
Once again, I’m
momentarily speechless. “Um, I’m kinda allergic—”
I cut myself off
when one of his brows rises infinitesimally, and then I gasp. Of course he
knows I’m allergic. We had an entire conversation about it. “Are you trying to send me to the hospital?”
“No, but I am trying to get into my house. Alone.
Preferably without the sad panda thoughts I’d finally managed to shake before
you showed up today.”
“Oh. That
was a hint.”
“I’m bad

He swipes a hand

His shop, house, and life are all in a state of disarray.

In desperation, he turns to the internet to hire a new employee, thinking it will make his life easier.

What he expects is a fellow named Charly.

What he gets is a quirky, sassy, red-head name Charlynn who runs circles around him.

And she’s all woman.

He can’t stand her.

He can’t keep his hands off her either.

Brand new romantic comedy from NYT Bestselling author Melanie Moreland. This small-town is about to see fireworks when feisty Charly starts to organize more than Maxx’s life.

“You’re a pain in the ass, anyone ever tell you that?”

“You’re a controlling jerk who refuses to admit he needs help.”

We were so close, I could feel her warm breath on my face. See the flecks of gray in the green of her eyes. I glared at her.

“You’re trying my patience, Red.”

“You’re pissing me off,” she retorted, jabbing at my chest with her pointy finger.

I grabbed her hand, and we both stared at it. Felt the heat bubbling in the air around us. Our gazes locked, and suddenly, my mouth was on hers. Demanding. Hard. Determined.

She yanked back, her breathing hard. “You’re an asshole.”

“I know.”

Then she flung her arms around my neck and kissed me back. She pulled me hard, yanking on my hair. I wrapped my arm around her, settling my hand on that spectacular ass, and dragging her close. Our tongues battled for dominance, neither of us giving an inch.

It was only the sound of a car door slamming out front that had us pulling apart. We faced each other, her lips swollen from our passion, her rapid breathing matching mine. My cock was hard and erect, pulsating with need.

She swallowed. “I’ll order that wipe-off board.”

I nodded. “Yeah, you do that.”

She turned and fled.
