Synopsis:

Failing wasn’t an option, but apparently falling for my professor was.

Attending the prestigious King University is one of the many things I must do to keep my parents happy and my trust fund secure.

Having a stellar transcript is another. Unfortunately, my grades are slipping and the only available option is setting up extra help with my professor.

After the first study session I know I’m in trouble. Her tempting lips and the honey scent of her perfume tests my resolve until it crumbles. One shared kiss and I’m willing to risk it all.

Professor Martínez may be my downfall, but falling never felt so good.

Loved this one!
I admit I was wondering to myself how much I would enjoy this book. I have never been a big fan of the older woman/younger man trope. It’s just not something I connect with. However, I will also admit that this author has written two books in this trope which I enjoyed. Especially this one. First, I’ll say, I appreciated how the H/h didn’t just jump into anything. Both tried to fight it and the sexual chemistry and tension rose and burned at the perfect rate. Each of the main characters were dealing with life issues and just trying to get through each day, that would bring them closer to the resolutions they needed. Unfortunately, Harper and Connor could only keep away from each other for so long. The great aspect about that for me was that when this couple did connect for the first time, I believed it. And having both Harper and Connor’s perspectives helped a great deal with that. Both of their inner struggles made this book more complex, more honest and more enjoyable.

That said, while the relationship was simmering, the writing pace was perfect. Most of you know that Remy Blake is two authors. Another great aspect of this book is that you can’t tell there are two completely different author perspectives in this story. Every word flows perfectly into every sentence, then every page and chapter. Seriously, Debauchery is a great read that I highly recommend. This was book three and my favorite of the King University series. There are quite a few secondary characters in this book; especially Harper’s older brothers. I hope that some day, we might get books for them as well.

Another great five star read!
This is my honest and unbiased review. Thank you for taking the time to read it. 🙂

Devilry (King University #2)Devilry by Marley Valentine

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I immensely loved this story. Everything about it touched my heart. Devilry was very well written and you can tell the author put her heart and soul into every word. While there are plenty of scorching moments, I found the relationship developing between Elijah and Cole most prominent in the story. do read quite a bit of MM romance. That said having different authors perspectives on this genre I know what I like, I know what I enjoy reading. And this book had all the feels I look for in that perfect read. In addition I want to say that this story was very believable. Some of the emotional aspects broke my heart, but there were so many moments that made me smile and swoon. Cole was the older in the relationship however Elijah was very mature. There were times where if I didn’t know better I would say Elijah was the older in the relationship.

Another great enjoyment of this book for me was all the secondary characters. They really all were an integral part of the book. In fact, the author has me curious if there will be any spin-off novels coming.

This is not the first book I have read by this author. I’ve enjoyed most every book I read by her. She is a talented storyteller. I also want to say that whether or not you are a fan of this genre, You’ll enjoy it regardless. It’s deep, angsty, emotional and the happily-ever-after was perfect. Don’t let me forget to mention the epilogue was incredible too. This was the second book in the King’s University series. I can’t wait to read the third! I recommend this as a must read especially if you love a book that will pull at your heartstrings.

This is my honest and unbiased review. Thank you for taking the time to read it 🙂

We both agree to walk away from our fling when I leave for college at the end of summer.

📝My Review📝: 🌟🌟🌟🌟

Depravity (King University #1)Depravity by Jacob Chance

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

One of my favorite tropes is single father romance. There is just something about the way they love their child. In addition, the vulnerability a single parent has is precious. Of course most, if not all, decisions in their lives are made with their child at the forefront. I can totally appreciate the way a single parent sacrifices their own needs/pleasure in life for their child. This book was great in that aspect. Of course, I will admit that while I do appreciate the previously mentioned personality traits, Miles was a bit gruff. He said the rudest comments. And often. I’m so glad that Sophie was mature because otherwise, I don’t think their relationship would have worked. She was thoughtful enough to understand his emotions, even if they frustrated her at times.

Miles and Sophie’s story is angsty. A quality I also appreciated was how believable their relationship was. The age gap between them was pretty big but that was not a problem for me. Their maturity was what I felt the most rather than the gap in age between them. I won’t say much more because this is a book you’ll enjoy reading on your own. However, I would like to add how much I adored Joey. He was the star of the show so many times. I just adored that little boy! Again, I absolutely love single fathers in romance!

I definitely recommend this book. I can’t wait to read what is coming next in the King’s University Series.

This is my honest and unbiased review. Thank you for taking the time to read it. 🙂

Synopsis:

There’s nothing richer than a second chance in the steamy second book of New York Times bestselling author J.S. Scott’s Accidental Billionaires series.

Aiden Sinclair was a commercial fisherman before he suddenly came into his billionaire inheritance—not that he’s complaining. Being a Sinclair does have its perks. But things were simpler before the money. He may have been dirt poor, but he loved his job and fully intended to always come back from the sea to his girlfriend, Skye Weston, so they could move toward something more permanent. Or at least that had been the plan . . . until he returned from a two-month fishing trip to discover that she had moved away and was marrying somebody else. It tore his world apart.

Now Skye’s back in town after nearly a decade. She’s a single mother and just as beautiful as ever. However, for some odd reason, she appears to hate him, when it should be Aiden who wants nothing to do with the woman who dumped him. Unfortunately, more than nine years of separation has done nothing to put a damper on their white-hot chemistry when they’re together. But even if those feelings are real, Skye has been keeping secrets. The truth of the past is about to come to light, and there is so much more at stake than just Aiden’s heart.

📝My Review📝:

Entangled (The Accidental Billionaires, #2)Entangled by J.S. Scott

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

What can I say? This was a 5 star read for me. This author writes a lot of Billionaire romances. And from what I can tell quite a few of them are interconnected in some way. The Billionaires in this series are “accidental billionaires.” These Sinclair siblings grew up poor and struggled in many ways. I did not actually read book one prior to reading this one. Entangled is a standalone. That said, while you can definitely follow along, I did have some questions regarding the details of how this group of Sinclairs became billionaires. I will definitely be back-reading to get my answers.

So, this is a second chance romance with a lot of emotional baggage. Aiden and Skye were a couple for a very brief time when she was eighteen and he was 5/6 years older. Aiden left on an eight week fishing trip, looking forward to his return when he could work on his future with Skye. Unfortunately, Skye was gone when he returned and Aiden was heartbroken. Here is where I tell you that you will have to read this on your own. I can tell you there are misunderstandings, a lot of rampant emotions and a sweet happily-ever-after.

I truly enjoyed reading this book. It was well written and flowed nicely. I definitely will read more from this author!

This is my honest and unbiased review. Thank you for taking the time to read it. 🙂

Synopsis:

I’m Professor Drake Grayson. I’ve been teaching Psychology for the last few years at Fox University. It’s a great university, filled with a wide variety of students. Some eager to learn, some eager to get in my pants.

I’ve never crossed that line. I’ve never taken advantage of the power I have. I’ve never wanted to bend a student over my desk like I have with Emma Bower. She makes me want to forget I’m her professor and teach her things that she’ll remember forever. But is the risk worth it?

I’m Emma Bower. I’m in my last year of Fox University as a Psychology major. I can’t wait to get out into the real world and pick people apart. It’s been an amazing four years filled with memories that I’ll never forget.

Especially the penetrating stare of Professor Grayson. That man has been in every fantasy I’ve had since the day I walked in his class. I know he’s untouchable, forbidden, he’s my professor, my mentor. But what if his touches lasted longer and his eyes darkened with a wicked grin? What if the professor everyone wants, wanted me? Would the risk be worth it?

There’s only one way to find out.

My Review:

The Professor (Fox University - FU)The Professor by Luke Prescott

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

4.5 Stars

First I am going to say that I recommend this book as a must read. With each new book, it is easy to see how this author’s writing talent steadily grows. And that says a lot because I have loved each book written by Luke Prescott. The Professor pleasantly surprised me. After reading the blurb and teasers for this book, I wasn’t sure the direction this taboo romance was heading. I admit that I assumed Drake would be a bit too arrogant but that was not the case. Yes, he was demanding but also a gentlemen. The Professor has all the feels. As a reader I was very satisfied how the author gave us an incredible story filled with a range of emotions. A great balance of seriousness, humor and scorching intimacy. The pace of this book was steady to fast and I was able to read it in a couple of hours. I was engaged from the very beginning and my interest never wavered.

I had a few moments of worry and wasn’t sure where this story would lead. That said, you may find a couple of predictable moments but that doesn’t take anything away from making Drake and Emma’s story a fun, flirty, sinfully sexy read. In addition, we are introduced to several secondary characters that added additional depth. I loved the dynamic between some of the characters. I don’t want to give anything away but I can say two of those characters will find themselves on the pages of another book from this author.

I’ll be brief here…..Drake is The Professor and Emma is his student. There is an age gap but I didn’t feel like it was a big deal. Though she may be younger, Emma was mature. She was a good student; independent and loyal. Another aspect of this book I loved was the build of tension. Emma and Drake were attracted to each other very early on. That said, because of the student/teacher dynamic, Drake and Emma tried very hard to keep their distance. When they finally did get together, my Kindle was in danger of melting, ;). Drake and Emma, had a few hurdles to get over before the got their happy ending. This is where my slight disappointment is mentioned. The ending came very quickly. While there was an epilogue that took place only weeks later, I was hoping for an additional epilogue that shows this amazing couple a few years later. I wanted more. I needed it.

This is my honest and unbiased review. Thank you for taking the time to read it. 🙂
