Mission: Survive my best friend’s wedding, where I must play
nice with my ex and his perfect new girlfriend.
Strategy: Bring the hottest fake boyfriend on the planet.
Target: Grady Rock. Master Baker. Dimples. Muscles. The
unicorn of fake boyfriends.
Complication: Wyatt Morgan. My brother’s best friend. My
sworn enemy. Military man. Sexy as hell single dad. The man I let into my
panties for one night of hot hate sex after my ex dumped me before my life fell
apart.
And the man who just scared off that perfect fake boyfriend.
By pretending to be my real boyfriend.
I can roll with this though. What’s the harm in Flirting
with the Frenemy if it helps me get the job done?
Complete my mission and move on.
Or so I thought.
Until Wyatt kisses me again and I start feeling things
I shouldn’t.
The thing about weddings…nothing ever goes as planned.
Flirting with the Frenemy is a rollicking fun romantic
comedy featuring a single dad military man, an irritatingly attractive blast
from his past, pirates, cursing parrots, and a wedding gone wild. It stands
alone with no cheating or cliffhangers
.

Love couple in bed

Synopsis:

“You may be faking the relationship, but you’re not faking the orgasms.”

Downsized, broke, and dumped, 38-year-old Marley sneaks home to her childhood bedroom in the town she couldn’t wait to escape twenty years ago. Not much has changed in Culpepper. The cool kids are still cool. Now they just own car dealerships and live in McMansions next door. Oh, and the whole town is still talking about that Homecoming she ruined her senior year. Desperate for a new start, Marley accepts a temporary teaching position. Can the girl banned from all future Culpepper High Homecomings keep the losing-est girls soccer team in school history from killing each other and prevent carpal tunnel in a bunch of phone-clutching gym class students? Maybe with the help of Jake Weston, high school bad boy turned sexy good guy. When the school rumor mill sends Marley to the principal’s office to sign an ethics contract, the tattooed track coach, dog dad, and teacher of the year becomes her new fake boyfriend and alibi—for a price. The Deal: He’ll teach her how to coach if she teaches him how to be in a relationship. Who knew a fake boyfriend could deliver such real orgasms? But it’s all temporary. The guy. The job. The team. There’s too much history. Rock bottom can’t turn into a foundation for happily ever after. Can it? Warning: Story also includes a meet-puke, a bouffanted nemesis, a yard swan and donkey basketball, a teenage-orchestrated makeover, and a fake relationship that gets a little too real between the sheets.

📝My Review📝:

Rock Bottom GirlRock Bottom Girl by Lucy Score

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Have you ever read a book that you could relate to so well that it gave you anxiety? Rock Bottom Girl did that for me. I believe there are four types of high school experiences. One being you loved high school and everything about it. The second being you absolutely hated it. The third being you pretended you loved it when you actually hated it. And finally, the fourth being you have both good and bad experiences. That’s me. I fall into the fourth category with a touch of the third. High school was not great for me in freshman year. I wasn’t bullied but I had a hard time trying to find my place. I ended up making friends that were not great in the way of role models. But thankfully, by my sophomore year, I knew who I was and who my true friends were. Unfortunately, there were not many of those. That said, I watched so many kids being bullied. Marley was familiar. There were so many Marleys in my high school. Unfortunately, there were more Amie Jo’s than I could count. I was more than thankful to not be on their radars.

As I read through this book, the angst just kept building. I really didn’t know how Marley’s life would turn out. And while she was very stubborn in her way of thinking, I understood her. There were many predictable moments that made me cringe and laugh at the same time.

Marley was that bullied girl in HS. I seriously don’t understand how she remained a decent person after all she had been through. I loved her character. She may have thought herself weak but Marley was anything but. When she moves back to her hometown after losing yet another job, broke and broken up with her boyfriend, Marley is at that place we call
“rock bottom.” Sometimes we need to hit that place in our lives to find a new perspective. Marley will take a temporary job as a gym teacher and soccer coach. Warily accepting this job, Marley will soon find out that this was the new direction her life needed. Nothing will come easy though. Marley admits to being afraid to return to HS even if she is an adult now. And sadly, she will have to deal with the school bully once again as this antagonist is a fellow teacher.

Of course, the bad boy of her youth still gets her blood pumping. There is also a story there but I won’t go into details. Marley’s journey, while angsty, is pure hysterics. Gosh, I laughed so much and so often through this book. My daughter thought I was crazy because of my loud bouts of laughter.

While this book brought back some less than pleasant HS moments, the author did a magnificent job in giving me new memories. Even if they aren’t mine, I got to experience them. I can’t say enough good things about this book and I’m so afraid that I haven’t done it justice in my review. This was actually the first book I ever read by Lucy Score. I am a huge fan now. If she writes all her books with this many feels, I am going to be a very happy reader!

I highly recommend this book to everyone. There is love, romance, a fake relationship, a hero donkey, and more laughter than my stomach muscles could take.

This is my honest and unbiased review. Thank you for taking the time to read it. 🙂

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Twelve men

Means twelve books

I really enjoyed Mr. Dos. After reading the first book, I was on the shelf with how this was going to play out. Would I like the fact that Anthea would be having mini relationships with twelve men? Is she actually going to fall in love with one? Also, I’m not super on board with her deceiving each man. I guess I’ll have to keep reading the series to find out how everything will come together in the end. I admit I am definitely intrigued by this premise.

Mr. Dos was a better candidate than Mr. Uno. This book had more character interaction than the first as well. Also, I found it humorous at times. Things heated up fast due to the fact this book was around 40 pages. Just as I got into it, it was over. I do wish they were a bit longer. I can’t wait to read about Mr. Tres next!

This is my honest and unbiased review. Thank you for taking the time to read it. 🙂

I’m having an out of body experience. At least…I think. Isn’t that what it’s called when your spirit abandons you to watch—from a safe distance, with the appropriate amount of judgement—while you make questionable decisions?

Yup, one of those.

I want to shout, “STOP ELLIE, DON’T DO IT!” But spirit me doesn’t have a voice. So I watch as she…I…we? Makes a sex contract with her…our…new boss.

This is a good time to mention the 45-minute HR meeting we sat through last month expressly forbidding this sort of thing.

In our defense, Max is ridiculously hot, and I…we may have accidentally quit.

With a sigh, I look down at the bodies pressed against the wall of the executive office.

Yup, we’re totally screwed.

Synopsis:
Lessons From A One Night Stand

If you’re a guy like me, and you find yourself having banged your sexy new boss—the school principal—in the back of your Jeep one drunken night, here’s a few takeaways based on my experience…

Lesson One: Always get her FULL name.

Lesson Two: Consider asking what she does for a living.

Lesson Three: Find out why she’s moved to town. Get details. Details are crucial.

Lesson Four: Don’t alter her bio in front of an auditorium of high school students unless you know she has a sense of humor for that sort of thing.

Lesson Five: If you ignore Lesson Four, apologize instead of flirt when you’re sent to the principal’s office.

Lesson Six: NEVER sleep with her again.

Lesson Seven: Pay attention to this one—it’s the most important of them all.
Don’t fall for your one-night stand.

Class dismissed.

📝My Review📝: 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

This just might be my new favorite Piper Rayne book! What great opener to this series!
I am so excited that this series has so many siblings. That just means more fun and flirty books! I have read almost every book from this author due and they never disappoint. Their books are humorous with a touch of angst and even a bit of suspense. While this book focuses on Austin and Holly, we are introduced to so many endearing secondary characters. I can’t wait for those books. Another aspect of this author is they don’t keep us waiting. There is never a long time lapse between books.

Austin is the oldest of the Bailey siblings. Nine years ago he put his baseball career on hold to come home and help raise his younger siblings along side his sister Savannah. Sadly their parents died and he needed to step up. Austin never regretted coming home and not pursuing his dreams of baseball. However, the last of the Bailey siblings will graduate at the end of the current school year and Austin wants to leave his hometown to pursue a baseball coaching position at a California University. This has been his dream for so long. But Austin will learn the hard way that dreams can change and he doesn’t have to leave town to pursue them.

Holly has moved to Alaska to take a job as principal at the high school Austin works at. It is only a temporary job but Holly doesn’t mind that because becoming the new principal was just the step she needed to find answers. You’ll have to read the book to find out all the details. I will say their first moments in the book were hilarious AND awkward. So great!

There is a lot of fun and humor in this book. But there are some sad elements too. Of course, there are miscommunications and some angst to balance the story out. In addition to having so much fun reading Lessons From A One Night Stand, it was believable. I never once doubted the chemistry and growing love between Austin and Holly. Even if they didn’t see it right away, as a reader I did!

Totally recommend this as a must read!

This is my honest and unbiased review. Thank you for taking the time to read it. 🙂

My personal assistant—a.k.a. half my brain—has abandoned me to have a baby. Alright, alright, I’m not a total jerk, but the temporary virtual assistant Carla left in her place is driving me crazy.

I’ve repeatedly refused to fill out Amy Walker’s way-too-friendly questionnaire. But somehow, she ninjas me into giving up details about my private life—all while suffering her oh-so-subtle jabs at my likes, dislikes, even my system for running my business.

I don’t care what she heard, I am not a problem child. I just know what’s tried and true.

At first, her feel-good P.S. quotes sounded more like B.S. Yet our emails and texts gradually take on a new dimension, and I find myself thinking of her as something I haven’t cultivated in a long time. A friend.

Maybe she’s right. It’s time I get a life. Starting with stepping out from behind the screen and putting my feelings on the line. I’ll never know unless I try.

Note: Contains a grumpy, workaholic tech CEO with a guarded heart, and a virtual assistant whose skills border on diabolical. Also, two cats named Ramen and Sushi.

Mrs. Jones,

Thank you for your inquiry about our services and for filling out our initial application. It’ll be a pleasure to help you find just the right virtual assistant for your need. Please, let me make sure we got some details right. On the application, you describe your current boss as impatient, aggressive, micromanaging, and somehow a social piranha.

Did I misread it? Is there a possibility that this was a typo?

If you could please correct or expand on your description, I’ll appreciate it. Mrs. Darlington explained our mission correctly. We always find the most fitting assistant for your company. Even for social piranhas. We have the right person for that. Our personnel is highly trained and holds at least a bachelor degree.

📝My Review📝:

Love DoctorLove Doctor by Logan Chance

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This book was an absolute breath of fresh air. To tell you the truth, I am not at all surprised that I loved it. This particular author is one of my favorites for a very good reason. Logan Chance always entertains me. Love Doctor in particular, took me on a versatile, literary journey. I know that sounds cliche, however it’s how I feel. I started off laughing and ended the last page with a goofy smile. Another aspect I was impressed by was how obvious it was that the author did his research. Not just medical research. Each chapter began with a notable author’s quote. In addition, I loved the added bonus of “writing within writing.” This book was written with care and love. The author made that obvious.

Rose works for Declan as his assistant. Declan his a sex therapist and is very good at it. Is that profession his true passion, what makes his happy? Does he feel fulfilled in his life? You’ll have to read to find out exactly what makes his heart beat faster. Declan is cocky and confident. He is gorgeous and intelligent. He can also be a pain in the butt; Declan feels the same about her. Do you want to know my favorite aspect of Declan’s persona? It was his vulnerability. I can’t say enough how much I loved Declan. I am so thankful for the dual character perspectives. Being inside their heads, knowing their most private thoughts mad this book believable.

Rose is an aspiring writer. She is currently working on her first novel but criticism from a peer causes her to make some courageous decisions in order to better her writing. Apparently, her intimate scenes are quite lacking. I wonder who she will ask for help?

I’m not going to say any more, or give any more details. I can promise you, you’ll love this adorable, sexy, sweet, endearing story. I absolutely recommend this book and if you haven’t checked out this author yet, you’re missing out on some wonderful storytelling.

This is my honest and unbiased review. Thank you for taking the time to read it. 😊

Oh, BABY teaser1

Synopsis:

Oh, baby. I’ve done it now.
This isn’t one of those stories where the woman meets her forever man, has a passionate night of sex and then becomes pregnant with his baby and is thrilled about the start of a family. No. Real life isn’t a fairy tale. I stupidly had a one-night stand with the most gorgeous man I’ve ever laid eyes on and became pregnant.
It’s not one of those beautiful pregnancy test commercials with the happy couple on the bathroom floor rejoicing. No. Mine is more like a commercial geared toward teenagers about abstinence.
Not to mention, I’m a prominent internet personality. Now, I can’t do videos from the neck down. My breasts are swollen bigger than ripe melons. I spend most of my time huddled on the bathroom floor. And the man? He doesn’t even know. I didn’t get his last name. Fate really isn’t on my side. Who do I happen to bump into while swollen and waddling, but my one-night stand, who I find out is a freakin millionaire.
You’d think that I’d jump up for joy about that wouldn’t you? No. His last name is pretty much the most slandered name slashed across the media. I don’t want to be photographed within a mile of him, let alone connected to him in anyway. The notorious reclusive, Mr. Knox is my baby daddy.
Now, he knows that the baby is his, he’ll stop at nothing to be with me. My career is in the balance and my body is out of whack. My life is pretty much down the toilet. This is just the beginning . . . soon it will all come crashing down around me.

5 Stars! Yes! I loved this book so much! I’d been seeing it around after the cover reveal and knew it would be a book I’d love! It had the perfect amount of steam and sexiness without being crass. Don’t get me wrong I love dirty talking in books just as much as anyone but sometimes it can be over done and I find myself rolling my eyes. While this book is short and can be read in under a couple of hours, I found it had substance and characters that were likable and most importantly, believable.

Abby and Knox spend a night together. And even though they are still together come morning, circumstances and miscommunication separate them for a bit. When they finally reconnect, their chemistry is still as hot. But what I really loved about this book was the fact that they really liked each other from the very beginning. It wasn’t all lust. This book has some angst, a good pace and an engaging story. Again I’ll say, I truly loved this book and absolutely will read more from this author.

This is my honest and unbiased review. Thank you for taking the time to read it. 😊
