The Navy SEAL’s Secret Baby
When curvy Sophie Chambers walks in on her boyfriend cheating on her, she drowns her sorrows in tequila. Lots and lots of tequila. When she wakes the next morning in bed with a man who’s name she can’t remember, she does the only thing she can…run.
Navy SEAL David Marshall is celebrating his retirement when he stumbles across the woman he’s been dreaming about for two years. The attraction is still hotter than ever. When she drops a bomb on him, he’s determined she won’t get away this time. Not when she’s the mother of his child.
A Second Chance at Love
Callie Foster never expected to feel such a strong connection to the sexy former SEAL her friend introduced her to. She only thought about having a little fun now that she’d regained her confidence after surviving an abusive relationship. Except he pushed her away.
Kyle Harper barely survived the war, returning home with one less limb. He begins a brief affair with a gorgeous nurse, but breaks it off knowing it won’t go anywhere. She’ll only leave him like everyone else in his life. When he runs into her a few weeks later, he realizes what a fool he was.
My rating: 4 of 5 stars
There are two standalone novellas within this book. While the characters are all present in the first book as a way of introduction, their stories are separate and unrelated. I equally enjoyed both stories. Some of my favorite tropes include ex-military. These characters have a good amount of baggage and that makes the story more complex and the endings even more delicious.
Four people believing they aren’t destined to find love. Each has a bit of baggage but nothing too heavy. The heroines are somewhat insecure and hesitant to allow themselves to take down the walls around their hearts. The heroes, specifically Kyle, is very protective of his heart. When the four of them come together. each in their own ways, they all realize they found something special. But the real question is…..will they be brave enough to take a chance on forever or risk losing the best thing to ever happen to them.
There is not a lot of character development because of the short length of the individual novellas. The attractions are instant and strong. That said, I enjoyed how the author drew out the relationship development a bit so the book didn’t have that stereotypical lust/love at first sight feeling. At least it didn’t for me. In addition, there is some angst and emotional feels. Each couple had a different story which did not tie into the other. I also appreciated that individuality. One more plus for me is that I discovered a new author that I will definitely check out in the near future.
This is my honest and unbiased review. Thank you for taking the time to read it. 🙂

Three couples uncover their happily ever after in this series of connected standalones. Packed with humor and heart, Kacey Shea brings a fresh look to her debut novels.
Gone is the sweet girl and best friend I left behind. In her place, a foul-mouthed, do whatever she wants no matter what I say, and drive me completely insane kind of woman. Kate’s determined to push all my buttons, and now that she’s my new roommate things are about to get worse.
Did I mention we recently hooked up for the best night of sex I’d had in my entire life? Right. That was before she moved into my apartment. Now every time she prances by in one of her curve hugging outfits I can’t stop remembering how good she felt in my arms. How perfectly our bodies fit together. Too bad we can’t be in the same room without picking a fight. Only, lately I’m starting to feel more than just irritation for her. More than just desire. More than anything I’ve ever felt before.
Uncovering Desire reads as a standalone and is part of the Uncovering Love world.

Between working at the hospital and raising two boys, Carly doesn’t have time for a man. Let alone a younger, famous, probably has a new woman in his bed each night kind of man. She’s interested in someone who fits into her life, not flips it on its axis.
But fate has other plans and the more she runs into Derek, the more captivated she becomes. Not by his rock star status, but his kind heart. Carly begins to hope for more, but will she ever truly be able to move on from her past?
Now the two are planning their own walk down the aisle. Except their path is crowded with a few bumps along the way. The urgent investigation of a family matter. A sexy new client. Pregnant bridesmaids, an ex, and a sprinkle of cold feet leaves the couple stumbling toward their big day.
Forever is a long time, but Evie and Tate are determined to get hitched no matter what life throws their way. Will they make it to the wedding or uncover more challenges than a young couple in love can handle?
This novella is the forth book in the Uncovering Love series, and while it can be read as a standalone, it contains major spoilers and is intended to reader after Uncovering Love, Uncovering Desire, and Uncovering Hope.
Rebecca lives in Canberra Australia and spends way too many hours a day working
the day job.
She is a book whore who can easily (and happily) read a book from start to
finish in one sitting and spends her spare time writing.
It was supposed to be one night. One night of passion. One night of scorching hot, mind-blowing, earth-rocking fun. It was a one night stand that somehow turned into two nights, then three and four… and Victoria Sands knew better. Of course she knew better. She was a good girl, a smart girl. She knew better than to continue seeking him out, knew better than to keep falling into his arms, knew better than to let her heart get involved, but when it came to Austin her logical, rational brain never stood a chance to her body’s desire.
They’re complete opposites. She’s the town princess and he’s the boy from the wrong side of the tracks. She grew up in the mansion on the hill and his mother is the woman that cleans it. She thinks everything through and he goes with his gut instinct. The one thing they have in common is that they’ve never felt anything like the sparks that flare between them.
But is that enough to build a life on? A family on? And what about forever?
Jess Bryant is an avid indoorswoman. A city girl trapped in a country girl’s life, her heart resides in Dallas but her soul and roots are in small town Oklahoma. She enjoys manicures, the color pink, and her completely impractical for country life stilettos. She believes that hair color is a legitimate form of therapy, as is reading and writing romance. She started writing as a little girl but her life changed forever when she stole a book from her aunt’s Harlequin collection and she’s been creating love stories with happily ever afters ever since.
Jess holds a degree in Public Relations from the University of Oklahoma and is a lifetime supporter of her school and athletic teams. And why not? They have a ton of National Championships! She may be a girlie girl but she knows her sports stats and isn’t afraid to tell you that your school isn’t as cool as hers… or that your sports romance got it all wrong.
