Dear Sexy Swimmer (The Matchmaker Series)Dear Sexy Swimmer by Dee Ellis

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Wished this little gem was longer. One of my favorite aspects of this novelette was the letter writing between Pike and Maia. They first met as pen pals via a matchmaking service. The letters they wrote to each other were so sweet. Through their letters, both Maia and Pike became so much more to each other before they even met face to face. And when that moment happened, I was smiling so hard. Because this book is so short, there is no character development. This short story centers solely around the love between Maia and her sexy swimmer. That said, I enjoyed it for what it was. A super short, super sexy and sweet read!

This is my honest and unbiased opinion. Thank you for taking the time to read this review. 🙂

My Review: 🌟🌟🌟🌟
So I’m not sure how to rate this book since it’s part one of twelve novelettes. The premise is a bit tricky to understand. The heroine is a columnist for a magazine and she is doing a piece in which she will date a different guy for twelve months. Yes there is going to be twelve men in her life. I’m not sure where the author is going with this. I’ll be honest, while this read like a romcom, I’m not sure how I feel about the heroine dating so many men. However, since this is the first time I read anything like this, I want to stick it out and see what the author has planned. I will say that I hope there won’t be a huge wait in between books.
This is my honest and unbiased review. Thank you for taking the time to read it. 🙂

You met James Wallace in Lost & Found, now it’s time he gets his happy ever after!

A guy walks into a bar… No too cheesy.
A girl see’s him across the room… Nope, not quite.

He’s a Grinch, she’s an Elf… That’s the one!

Grumpy about caving to his partner’s request, James Wallace dresses up as Santa to please some kids he doesn’t know. The girl playing his helper Elf has him intrigued from the moment their eyes meet.

All Georgina “Gigi” Grant wants for Christmas is to have some luck in love. Her brother and his wife suggested she help Santa at the local kid’s club. Dressed up like a helpful Elf, Gigi isn’t prepared to be snowed in with the Grinchy Santa.

Seeing her brothers’ friend is behind the Grinchy demeanor, she hesitates until he takes her in his arms and suddenly all she wants for Christmas is…

The Grinch.

Lucky Christmas: A Novelette (The Possessed Series Book 4)Lucky Christmas: A Novelette by K.L. Donn

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

4 Stars!

Lucky Christmas was a short, sexy holiday romance. While this is book four in the Possessed series it can be read as a standalone. That said, I haven’t read the other books in this series. And while I had no trouble following along when characters from the last book made an appearance, my interest was definitely tickled. As soon as I get caught up on my current reading, I plan to read book three which features James’ sister and her husbands.

James and Gigi…..
James is described as a bit of a Grinch. And while he was grumpy and impatient with Gigi at times, I did not view him to be that selfish, green holiday miser. I actually liked James right from the beginning. Gigi was sweet; a lovely character. While she had attention issues and could be hypersensitive, I did not judge her by that. People are born with issues that don’t make them bad, just different. In fact, Gigi was downright perfect and I was completely endeared to her.

Circumstances bring Gigi and James together during a snowstorm. It is during that time, they realize their feelings for each other are strong and not going away. I don’t want to tell you anything more since this book is so short. You will just have to read and find out how things end on your own. I will say I loved James and Gigi’s happily-ever-after. Not only did luck and a snowstorm bring them together, but their future is going to be merry and bright. Ok, that was probably cheesy, but I meant it.

This is my honest and unbiased review. Thank you for taking the time to read it. 🙂

Beautiful young couple in pajamas on nicely decorated Christmas tree background.

Review For: The Virgin and the Firefighter by Ava Sterling

Genres:  Erotic Romance, Adult, Virgin Heroine

My Rating:  4

Published:  December 9, 2016

Read:  February 19, 2017

Told in third person single perspective by heroine.

Standalone – Kindel edition:  18 pages

After all these years, Liam better be worth the wait.

Being the artsy band nerd in high school, Abby could only watch as her crush, Liam, barely noticed her. The football star hardly looked in her direction. Now in her 20s, the lust didn’t fade. If anything, it’s stronger. Maybe that’s why she’s still a virgin. Maybe that’s why she’s still waiting.

One night, fate thrusts her into Liam’s arms, and she’ll have to see if she has the guts to go for her first time.

(This explicit story is intended for adult readers only)

My Review:

The Virgin and the Firefighter

The Virgin and the Firefighter by Ava Sterling

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

The Virgin and the Firefighter is by author Ava Sterling
Cover: 3.5

I would loosely describe this as romantic. There was no courting, no pursuing, no build of a relationship. I’m not even sure it ended in a relationship. I would say this has a HFN ending.

That said, I am rating this little novelette for exactly what it is; a short, sexy, erotic story.

Abby and Liam knew each other from high school. Abby always had a crush on Liam but was too intimidated to pursue it. Years later she still believes him out of her league. Unfortunately that doesn’t diminish her crush at all. Abby is still a virgin at 28 years old. There was never anyone she wanted to give her virginity to, except Liam. When a friend literally pushes her toward Liam one night at a local bar, she is determined to find her courage.

Liam was a great character even though there is little back story. But because of his words and actions with Abby I liked him immediately. Liam not only liked Abby, he respected her too. I thought he was sweet and at the same time, sexy.

I enjoyed this cute little story that I wish was longer. If your looking for a super short, super sexy story, you can read The Virgin and the Firefighter in about a half hour, more or less.

4 stars from me!
