If only she could see herself through my eyes, she would understand we were made for each other.
Through His Eyes was such a compelling book. The premise was real and believable. Quinn had been through so much with her previous marriage to a complete jerk. When is it okay for any man to make a woman feel less than beautiful and appreciated? To make a woman feel like she is never enough? Well the answer to that is never. But unfortunately when verbal bullying is all you know, it’s hard not to believe it.
This book is about healing. It’s about finding a way to love yourself once again; being confident and and able to trust in a man’s love once again. I appreciated how the author took her time with Quinn and Lachlan’s relationship. It was not rushed because otherwise it would not have been believable. That said, I also want to mention that this is an older woman/younger man romance. One of the issues Quinn has, on top of her already self-doubting, is that she thinks she is too old for Lachlan. Nikki Ash wrote Lachlan’s character to be mature for his age but still maintain his youthfulness. Again, another aspect that makes this book believable.
I won’t tell you much more so you can experience their journey on your own. However, I will tell you that Karma does make appearance when necessary. 😉 And that was another reason why this book was endearing to me. I highly recommend this book. If you haven’t yet read the previous interconnected books in this series, no worries. Through his Eyes is a stand-alone novel. Though, if you have the time I suggest you read the others as well. This will make your reading enjoyment even greater.
This is my honest and unbiased review. Thank you for taking the time to read it. 🙂
