Cade Kipling canāt believe the beautiful woman that emerges from the cocoon of overalls and over sized glasses. If he wasnāt dead set on taking a few months to get his head on straight, after his long time abusive girl-friend dumped him, heād be after Summer in a heartbeat.
Two weeks of dating will either kill them or change their lives forever.
Roping Cade: Burlap and Barbed Wire by Shirley Penick
My rating: 4 of 5 stars
Roping Cade has a different feel than the previous books in this series. The author touched on a couple of types of abuse. I won’t go into details on that because you’ll want to read it on your own.
As with the prior books, this one flowed nicely and I did find myself eating up the pages to get to the HEA. That said, I was a bit disappointed in the main characters for different reasons. Cade had been in a previous relationship where he was on and off with the woman for nearly twelve years. I tried very hard to understand his feelings regarding why he stayed so long with his ex and just couldn’t justify why. His ex walked all over him and he never stood up for himself. He believed he had a good reason for his putting up with his ex but I couldn’t see it. Sadly to say, Cade was not portrayed as a strong male lead. That said, I still adored him and rooted for him to have a happy-ever-after. He was a very likable character.
Summer had her own issues. She had secrets and I understood why she kept them. Summer had been hiding her true self for ten years. And when Cade asked her to pretend to be his girlfriend for a while, Summer practically leaps out of her shell. Cade gave her the confidence she needed to be free of her past. And Summer helped Cade to heal from his.
There are definitely bumps in the road for these two. But once both Cade and Summer can believe in themselves, they are able to move forward with each other and with new goals. I enjoyed reading this book and I am curious as to which of the remaining two siblings will get a book next. I just hope the author doesn’t keep us waiting too long.

Her love of reading has always been center front in her life. Chiahās love of bad boys both in and out of fiction has inspired her books. She loves an alpha male whose softer side is brought out by a passionate, spirited woman. In fiction there are no rules or boundaries, and fantasies can go as far as the characters want to take them. Steamy, romances with tough, sexy bad boys are her guilty pleasure along with brownies, cheddar cheese, and movie marathons.

Mister Dos: A Short Story Series by Belle Brooks
My rating: 5 of 5 stars
Twelve men
Twelve months
Twelve articles
Means twelve books
I really enjoyed Mr. Dos. After reading the first book, I was on the shelf with how this was going to play out. Would I like the fact that Anthea would be having mini relationships with twelve men? Is she actually going to fall in love with one? Also, I’m not super on board with her deceiving each man. I guess I’ll have to keep reading the series to find out how everything will come together in the end. I admit I am definitely intrigued by this premise.
Mr. Dos was a better candidate than Mr. Uno. This book had more character interaction than the first as well. Also, I found it humorous at times. Things heated up fast due to the fact this book was around 40 pages. Just as I got into it, it was over. I do wish they were a bit longer. I can’t wait to read about Mr. Tres next!

Thereās nothing richer than a second chance in the steamy second book of New York Times bestselling author J.S. Scottās Accidental Billionaires series.
Aiden Sinclair was a commercial fisherman before he suddenly came into his billionaire inheritanceānot that heās complaining. Being a Sinclair does have its perks. But things were simpler before the money. He may have been dirt poor, but he loved his job and fully intended to always come back from the sea to his girlfriend, Skye Weston, so they could move toward something more permanent. Or at least that had been the plan . . . until he returned from a two-month fishing trip to discover that she had moved away and was marrying somebody else. It tore his world apart.
Now Skyeās back in town after nearly a decade. Sheās a single mother and just as beautiful as ever. However, for some odd reason, she appears to hate him, when it should be Aiden who wants nothing to do with the woman who dumped him. Unfortunately, more than nine years of separation has done nothing to put a damper on their white-hot chemistry when theyāre together. But even if those feelings are real, Skye has been keeping secrets. The truth of the past is about to come to light, and there is so much more at stake than just Aidenās heart.
My rating: 5 of 5 stars
What can I say? This was a 5 star read for me. This author writes a lot of Billionaire romances. And from what I can tell quite a few of them are interconnected in some way. The Billionaires in this series are “accidental billionaires.” These Sinclair siblings grew up poor and struggled in many ways. I did not actually read book one prior to reading this one. Entangled is a standalone. That said, while you can definitely follow along, I did have some questions regarding the details of how this group of Sinclairs became billionaires. I will definitely be back-reading to get my answers.
So, this is a second chance romance with a lot of emotional baggage. Aiden and Skye were a couple for a very brief time when she was eighteen and he was 5/6 years older. Aiden left on an eight week fishing trip, looking forward to his return when he could work on his future with Skye. Unfortunately, Skye was gone when he returned and Aiden was heartbroken. Here is where I tell you that you will have to read this on your own. I can tell you there are misunderstandings, a lot of rampant emotions and a sweet happily-ever-after.
I truly enjoyed reading this book. It was well written and flowed nicely. I definitely will read more from this author!
