It’s not everyday you have the number one box office star in your car. Actually, not any day for someone like me, Nova Sparks, a plain Jane hair stylist.
And the real kick in the rear end? Not only will he be in my car, in a few weeks, he’ll be in my life— as my stepbrother.
Fate has brought Ethan Hale into my small Montana world and kept him unattainable. How’s that for cruel?
Now I’m stuck being near him. Stuck with the tabloids and paparazzi. Stuck with these feelings I shouldn’t be having.
The only way to get unstuck is accept I can’t have him and send him back to Hollywood.
The only problem? He may have other plans.
My rating: 5 of 5 stars
Another very enjoyable book from Logan Chance. Thus far I have read every book by this author. Each book/series has its own uniqueness. Logan writes romance with suspense, comedy and a talent that always has me coming back for more. This is one of a handful of authors I read where I will just #oneclick knowing as a reader, I won’t be let down.
Ethan and Nova…….
Ethan and Nova are soon to be step siblings. Where you might be turned off by the taboo aspect of stepbrother/sister romance, don’t be. They don’t know each other and literally meet for the first time in the first pages of the book. In addition, their relationship doesn’t get off to a good start all due to Ethan’s rudeness and arrogant behavior. Nova was an amazing heroine. I loved her character and the way she handled herself with Ethan, who did not make it easy on her. In fact, there were a few times I was proud of how she held her tongue, despite wanting to kick him you know where. 😉
Slowly, they each get to see the other in an honest light. Nova never hid her true persona from Ethan, yet he believed she was a gold digger. Being the famous, talented actor he is, Ethan hid his real personality from Nova until he felt he could trust her. The first few chapters had me smiling and at the same time, I wanted to knock some sense into Ethan. However, I quickly came to adore him and loved Ethan and Nova as a couple. I won’t go into much detail as this book has a nice pace and you’ll get to all the fun stuff with each turn of the page, or swipe of your Kindles. I was able to read this in one sitting with only a few interruptions and ended up smiling from ear to ear when I finished.
There isn’t much suspense, the premise makes this book easy to predict and while there is angst, it is not too much. I enjoyed the steady flow and pace of the story. I even found myself guessing what might happen during a moment or two in the book wondering which way the author would go. That said, I found this book lighthearted and fun to read. And as always, I look forward to what this author comes out with next. I totally recommend this book. Logan Chance does not disappoint!
This is my honest and unbiased review. Thank you for taking the time to read it. 🙂
