“Why haven’t we had sex?”
When Jesse Gunn one of the biggest stars of World Class Wrestling voiced that million dollar question, yet again, I was stunned. After countless times of turning him down, I thought eventually he’d give up.
Unexpectedly thrown together for a work project, my mind went to places I’d never allowed. Dirty places where sweaty, naked bodies take center ring and names are rasped out in the heat of the moment.
Now, my time is spent wondering if a certain part of him could possibly live up to his last name, distracting me from my full time job – as his boss.
Can I continue to keep things professional or will I give in and tussle?
Tussle is a full length sports romcom.
5 Stars to Tussle by Jacob Chance.
I want to be one of #JessesGirlz! This book was fun, flirty and absolutely a joy to read. I was engaged and entertained throughout. Did not want it to end.
So here is where I admit I am not a wrestling fan. I don’t hate this sport, I just don’t get it. That said, Tussle was not only a great read, it was a learning experience for me. Makes me curious about wrestling. I’m not saying I’m going to watch it but I do have a better understanding of what it’s all about. Even a novice like me can easily see that Jacob Chance knows wrestling and how to articulate this sport to people like me who are ignorant to what wrestling is about.
That said, Jesse is a professional wrestler. He he sexy, witty and doesn’t give up on what he wants. And he wants Lilah. I loved the chemistry and banter between them. Lilah likes Jesse, however since he works for her family’s company, she considers him off limits. She persistently fights her attraction for three years until Jesse finally breaks her determination to keep away. Their relationship was relatable and believable. Any interactions they had were enjoyable to experience. Yes, their chemistry was scorching. However, they also had respect for each other. While Jesse was determined to get his girl, his persistence was not over the top. He was a gentlemen. My latest book boyfriend!
I did not find this book angsty nor was I ever frustrated with any aspect. Tussle is well written and told in both H/h perspectives. The intimacy between Jesse and Lilah was hot, the humor between them was even more endearing. I truly loved this book. I can’t wait to see who of the secondary characters will have their own book next.
This is my honest and unbiased review. Thank you for taking the time to read it. 🙂
