International goalkeeper Logan Walker has a reputation of being a bit of a bad boy off the pitch. He doesn’t do relationships, for a very good reason. For him, sex is sex. He has no room in his life for feelings, but is that about to change?
Lee MacKay has everything she could possibly want, except for one thing. Logan Walker. But she knew the rules of his game from the first night they met; just sex, no strings attached.
When Lee receives some life-changing news, it’s not just her world that changes. With her revelation, Logan is forced back to a time in the past he’d rather forget. When old demons resurface and threaten to drag him under, he has a choice to make. Will the ghosts of his past win, or can he save the game before it’s too late?

5 Stars to Saving The Game by author Karen Frances.
Logan and Lee…….
Saving the game
I have been looking forward to reading this book since we met Logan in Fletcher and Jessica’s book, Playing The Game, the Beautiful Game series. I thought Logan was amazing then and I knew he would have a great story.
Logan is currently the goalkeeper for a Scotland football team; he is also a ladies man. There is very good reason for that and when you read his story and find out his background your heart will break for him. Karen Frances knows how to pull at your heartstrings.
We also met Lee McKay in the Beautiful Game series as well. She is best friends with Jessica. Lee is a strong character, a caring woman, and a loyal friend so there is nothing more that I want then to see her happy.
It is hinted in the Beautiful Game series that Logan and Lee are attracted to each other and there might have been a moment or two that they spent together, and all of that is confirmed and explained in this book. The chemistry between Logan and Lee was palpable and magnetic. They had an amazing connection and their relationship was relatable and believable.
It was amazing to have their story. I loved how Logan couldn’t stop thinking about Lee; he wanted her but was afraid of getting too close and giving his heart.
Because this was such a short, quick story I don’t want to give away any details. There are some ups and downs, a bit of angst and a lot of sexy, steamy moments. If you haven’t read the Beautiful Game series that is ok; this book is a standalone and easy to follow without having read the prior related books. However, I do recommend you read Fletcher and Jessica’s story. You won’t be disappointed. But make sure you have the tissues handy. 😉
There is another character, another player on the team, named Jackson that I would love to get a story for. Hopefully the Karen is thinking about that. 😉
I loved this book and I’m so glad I had the opportunity to read it. This is my honest and unbiased review. Thank you for taking the time to read it.
