Everyone in town knows that Christmas in Twilight has a way of bringing lovers together . . but will its magic bring this pair from “I won’t” to “I do”?

Wearing a too-tight “Santa Baby” costume held in by a double pair of Spanx, Paige MacGregor runs headlong into a gorgeous, grey-eyed hunk of a long, tall cowboy. And not just any cowboy, but country-western star Cash Colton, visiting Twilight to perform in a charity concert. Most women would melt at his feet, but Paige knows all too much about self-assured men with cocky attitudes, so she tells him to get lost.

Cash is in town, nursing his own broken heart, but Paige has knocked him off his feet. He’s convinced she’s perfect—someone to inspire his music and share his now-empty bed. True, he’s not marriage material, but he’s determined to convince her that they’re perfect together—at least for a while. But what he doesn’t count on is falling in love with the one woman who isn’t about to give him the time of day!

5 Stars toCowboy It’s Cold Outside (Twilight Texas #8) by Lori Wilde.

I love Twilight, Texas! This town that Lori Wilde creates is warm, inviting and filled with loyal family and friends. Once again, we are back to celebrate another Christmas and another couple finding their happily-ever-after. One of the aspects of Lori’s books that endear me to this welcoming town is the characters. From the first book, we are introduced to so many and each book welcomes more while giving us glimpses to past characters. I feel like I know this town and its citizens so well. All the quaint shops and townsfolk always willing to help, even when you don’t want them to, are all to be found in Twilight.

Cash and Paige…….

Paige was not born and raised in Twilight but has spent a lot of time here over the years visiting relatives. When she finds herself at the mercy of identity theft and alone, there is only one place she can think of to go and heal. Her cousins and the community of Twilight welcome Paige. They are protective of her and won’t think twice of helping her.

Down on her luck, financially, Paige is working three jobs to make ends meet. It is at her theatre job that she meets country music star Cash Colton. Of course she has no idea who he is when they meet which while doesn’t impress Paige, Cash is intrigued.

Paige and Cash have their own reasons for guarding their hearts, for not trusting in love completely. My heart went out to them both. But the chemistry and attraction between Paige and Cash cannot be ignored. Cash wants to know her better; he believes she is his muse. Paige wants to put her trust in a man but doesn’t think she can even though she can’t stop thinking about Cash.

They experience ups and downs and their relationship is a slow building one. I was fine with that. Their tension continued to build while the walls around their hearts began to crumble. I just absolutely love this series, love this author and can’t wait for her next Twilight book. If you are a fan of quaint, friendly towns with a bit of eclectic charm and loyal and loving hearts, you’ll adore this book. I also recommend that you check out the whole series. Each book is engaging while each page flows smoothly resulting is a steady-paced, highly enjoyable read. Not to mention the sigh-worthy HEA.

This is my honest and unbiased review. Thank you for taking the time to read it. 🙂

About The Author

Lori Wilde

Lori Wilde can’t remember a time when she didn’t want to write. She even went to nursing school so she could have a schedule flexible enough to allow her to write on the side. She nursed for 20 years, working in a variety of settings from the newborn nursery to the recovery room, to dialysis. But she never lost her desire to write.

She sold her first book in 1994 to Silhouette Romance but later discovered she had a flair for comedy and branched out to Harlequin Duets and now, to Blaze.

Lori is an adventuresome soul who loves to travel. She’s taken flying lessons, completed two marathons, rode in a hot-air balloon, performed with a professional jazz band, traveled Europe as a teenager, hiked volcanoes in Hawaii, trod on glaciers in Alaska, shot white-water rapids, water-skied, snow-skied, raced all-terrain vehicles, bodysurfed in the Gulf of Mexico, and photographed grizzly bears in Yellowstone.

She lives in her native Texas, with her own real-life hero, Bill.
