I’m damaged. Bad goods. Not good enough for anyone.
Brett Daniels is a player with a capital manwhore. The idea of being with just one woman is something that he’d never entertain. He’s out looking for a new wingman, since he lost his to a woman. He won’t make the same mistake, hell no. It’s all about sex, having fun. Forgetting.
I’m damaged. Bad goods. Too much for anyone to deal with.
Eva Chapman is back in the game. She’s had a hell of a year and she’s ready to make the most of it now. Too much has been taken from her. She’s not willing to give up anything else, for anyone. It’s time for sex, and fun. Anything to help her forget.
When Brett meets up with his old friend Eva, he knows he’s found his wingman. A secret, sexy weapon no one will see coming. Not even him.
Can two damaged hearts learn to beat as one or is the damage too severe?
My rating: 5 of 5 stars
Wow! This book had all the feels. I wasn’t sure what to expect but I was looking forward to Brett’s story and I was not disappointed.
5 Stars to Damaged by Luke Prescott.
Damaged gives us the story of Brett Daniels and Eva Chapman. They were schooled-aged friends for years, then they became each other’s wingman. And inevitably more.
I was eager for Brett’s book since we met him in “Wrecked.” Brett was definitely a manwhore. But he was also so much more. Brett was a loyal friend and had a big heart. Sadly, Brett believes himself unworthy of love, so he doesn’t go looking for it. In fact he avoids relationships and commitments at all costs. My heart broke for him. I thought he was worthy of love and so much more.
Eva has her own reasons for avoiding relationships and commitments. But the more time these two reunited friends spend together, the lines between ‘like’ and ‘love’ start to blur.
I want to say how much I absolutely loved the way Brett treated Eva. He most definitely proved to me that he was worthy of love even if he didn’t see it for himself. I was enamored with Brett from the beginning but I must say by the end of the book his character blew me away! Oh. My. God! What a perfect hero Brett was! Damaged has all the feels. My only complaint is that I wished this book were longer; I wasn’t ready to say goodbye to Brett and Eva.
I want to say that each of Luke Prescott’s books get better and better. His writing flows, there is good tension and the sexy scenes are smoking hot. I can’t wait for what this author gives us next!
So if you haven’t yet, I recommend you add this author to you TBRs.
