Bound by honor and by love…

That’s a Montana Man

Ford Kendrick has often dreamed of the day that Jamie Keller would come home to Montana. After high school, she needed to leave—and he, duty-bound to rescue his family’s ranch, pushed her to go. The Army made Jamie a hero, but Ford still sees the gorgeous, loving woman who lit up his whole world.

Every day since she left, Jamie has longed for Ford. One glimpse confirms it: the sexy, dangerous-looking cowboy left a hole in her heart that nothing else can fill. Yet the battle scars she bears—inside and out—won’t let her trust anyone enough to get close.

Ford wants to bring Jamie back to the life they dreamed of building. But locked somewhere in her memories is a dark truth that threatens her safety. It’s a battle Ford won’t let her fight alone, not when he’s determined to keep her by his side, now and always…

My Review:

His Cowboy Heart (Montana Men, #6)His Cowboy Heart by Jennifer Ryan

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

5 Stars to His Cowboy Heart (Montana Men #6) by Jennifer Ryan.

Ford and Jamie…….

After reading the blurb, I’ve been waiting for Ford’s story with eagerness and anxiety, as well as anticipation. In this installment of the Montana Men is the story of Ford Kendrick and Jamie Keller.

These two were high school sweethearts who went their separate ways due to circumstances that were cruelly fated to them.

Jamie leaves town devastated and Ford dutifully remains behind. By choice. A choice he regrets. Years later when more unforeseen circumstances bring them face to face, old feelings and regrets come to the forefront.

Ford Never stopped loving Jamie. He lived every day with sadness and regret that he let her leave. His regret turns into guilt and shock once he sees how Jamie is hurting. Jamie is returning home a wounded VET. Sadly, she is not the same sassy, independent girl she was before she left. Jamie is hurting physically and emotionally. Her pain is inside as well as outside. Her grief and nightmares are controlling her life to the point she is losing touch with reality. My heart really went out to Jamie. The author does an amazing job of detailing Jamie’s anguish and effects of PTSD as a result of her traumatic experience overseas.

This book is a romance. But it is also about forgiveness and second chances. It is also about emotional healing. There is a suspense aspect that is a little predictable. However, I want to add that that situation had some instances that did surprise me. I was heartbroken for everyone involved and how certain situations played out.

Ford will not only have to work overtime to win back his girl. He will have to take on her demons to save her from herself and another element of danger. Ford’s love was so strong for Jamie. He would do anything for her. He wanted nothing more than a future with Jamie. I though Ford was an amazing hero.

I have loved each and every Jennifer Ryan novel I have read. She has a true talent with romantic suspense. I always look forward to reading more from her. Jennifer Ryan is a one-click author for me.

This is my honest and unbiased review.
