Like A Boss (Like A Boss #1) 2 book series is by author Logan Chance.
Theo and Penny…..
Like A Boss is part of a two book series which ends in a cliffhanger. I am not a fan of cliffhangers but I was lucky than when I read this book, Book 2 Love A Boss was available and waiting on my Kindle.
This novel had all the “feels” I look for in the perfect book. There was a prominent relationship between love and hate. There is a lot of passion and just as much sexual tension. We’re talking erotic levels! There are also emotions of fear, worry, humor and sadness. But thank the lord above (and Logan Chance) there will be a happily ever after. BUT not until book two.
Circumstances for Theo and Penny got ‘off’ pretty quickly but then it stalled for a bit. They were separated by fate and brought together the same way. Only their reunion is not what you would expect; it was tense. That said I was constantly laughing. 🙂
The trope of boss and employee relationship was not a typical one in this novel. Where some may see it as frustrating; I was completely entertained. I loved the slow relationship build between Theo and Penny. Both were ‘A’ personality characters with sass and wit. Let’s not forget their chemistry…it was insanely hot.
The entire development of their relationship had me engrossed and turning pages steadily. As individual characters, I liked Theo more. He was sexy, arrogant but he was also confident and a dirty talking’ sex devil. Penny was also a confident character however her attitude at times caused me to find her a bit annoying and superior. But I still liked her (most of the time).
There is a build of suspense which really doesn’t come into play until the next book but the author did a great job of keeping me focused and curious. I really did love this book!
One more plus I’d like to mention was the setting. I did feel like I was in Miami. Having been there before I could easily picture everything. It was realistic and fed my imagination in a positive way, allowing me to enjoy this book that much more.
Logan Chance enjoys the simple things in life. Star Wars, music, and pretty girls. Always in trouble at school, he was made to copy the dictionary while the others played. This began his word fascination.
With a love of words he then realized he loved stringing those same words together to create stories to inspire all.
From Boston, and relocated to Florida, he lives out his days writing, reading, and avoiding the beach.
Not afraid to tell it how it is, Logan is definitely a man of his own.
