Synopsis:

“Candy, why is your bed so big?”

“… to fit my two boyfriends when we snuggle together at night.”

Only that’s my father asking, staring at the bed in question.

Oops.

So yeah. Unruly Jethro and cocky Joel are now officially my boyfriends. My Candy Boys. I moved in with them, and I expected things to be tense, awkward. I was wrong. This feels so right, and well, hot. These boys are so hot.

But with college starting, Jethro returning to work at the bookshop, and Joel starting his own business, everything’s shifting. Not to forget the fact that Joel still hasn’t confronted his parents about our relationship, that Jethro is still recovering from his dad’s brutal attack, and that I feel insecure, well…

Wait a sec. Insecure? Come on, Candy. That’s BS. These boys love you.

Yeah, I know. The boys and me, we’re solid. However, doubt still lingers. I mean, Joel’s parents hate each other. Jethro’s dad killed his mom, for chrissakes—and my mom has acquired a sudden interest in sex toys and escort services.

So I wonder if true love really exists. Love that doesn’t fade over time. You know, the kind that withstands nightmares and bad jokes, unwashed dishes in the sink and lack of lube.

Yeah, that happened.

These boys own me. They’re sweet, sexy and caring—but will they break my heart, or is this our happily ever after?

My Review:

Candy Ever After (Candy Boys Epilogue)Candy Ever After by Jo Raven

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

“Candy Ever After” Candy Boys Epilogue is by author Jo Raven.
Release Date: January 20, 2017
Read: January 8, 2017
*I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book*

My Rating: 5++ Stars!!!

I’m never surprised how much I love Jo Raven’s newest releases. I have never been disappointed, love all of her books and am always impatient for her next.

If you read “Candy Boys” then you will fully appreciate this epilogue, “Candy Ever After.” If you haven’t yet read Candy Boys, I highly recommend you do before reading this epilogue. It is not a standalone. And it continues pretty close to where Candy Boys left off.

Candy, Joel, and Jet are in a menage/MMF relationship. They are not simply dating, they live together and love each other. The chemistry and intimacy between them is scorching. Joel and Jet are serious book boyfriends.

This book takes us on the journey of not only their newly formed relationship, but also their current emotions and concerns. Candy, Joel, and Jet each have their separate worries and fears.

Jet is still dealing with the horror and continuous nightmares caused by his father trying to kill him. He is exhausted from lack of sleep, stressed and trying to cope with his fears that Joel will walk away from their relationship.

Joel loves Jet and Candy more than anything. But he is still struggling with “coming out” to his parents and what their reaction will be. I don’t want to say what happened but that moment in the book left a bad taste in my mouth. Joel’s father was a real piece of crap. If I had any disappointment with this book it was that scene. It left me feeling angry and dissatisfied. There wasn’t enough closure. I admit I was hoping for a gesture by his parents towards the end of the book. Joel deserved better. But there was no gesture.

Candy’s love for Joel and Jet was unconditional. She was a sweet and loving young woman and they were lucky to have her in their lives. Her love and loyalty towards Joel and Jet was heartwarming and endearing. I really loved Candy.

I don’t want to give away any details because you should be able to enjoy this amazing story on your own without the help of spoilers. I will say there were intense moments. I laughed and cried and laughed some more. Also intense was their intimacy AND fears. A great combination of witty dialogue and passionate monologue. I loved that it was told in all three POVs. All of the secondary characters were essentially an important addition. That added to the story’s development and teased about what’s to come next. I can’t wait for what Jo give us next.

There was so much going on in this book and I loved it!
