The Blurb:

My name is Slade Merrick and I’m a fucking sex addict . . .

I’ve been told it’s a problem. But I see it as a passion; something that I’m good at. And who the fuck stops something that they’re good at?

They want me to seek help; get my cock in check. Don’t judge my lifestyle. You’re no better than me. Just admit it, you like to fuck too. Sex is what I do best; my own personal high, so I embrace it instead of being ashamed.

When I’m not fucking, I’m slinging drinks at Walk Of Shame or stripping my way into your bed; another thing I’m good at. Every woman’s darkest fantasy brought to life.

So, am I stopping? Fuck no. Sex is beautiful, raw and erotic and I get off knowing I can have it with anyone I want . . . with the exception of her.

Aspen.

She walks into the club swaying those hips, instantly drawing my cock to attention. She’s pure perfection. That is, until she opens that mouth, drawing me in and for the first time in forever I want something more than sex. I want her and she hates it.

Things get dirty. Dirty is what I like; it’s how I live. But . . . she’s playing a game she can never win.

Author’s Note: Due to strong language and a very high amount of dirty, sexual content, this book is not intended for readers under the age of 18. This is #1 in the Walk Of Shame series of novellas that will all be standalone reads. If you’re not into, cocky bad boys with filthy mouths and even filthier sex, then this series is not for you. If you are . . . then, come meet the dirty boys of Walk Of Shame.

My Review:

Slade (Walk of Shame, #1)Slade by Victoria Ashley

My rating: 4.5 out of 5 Stars

“Slade” Walk of Shame #1 by author Victoria Ashley.
My Rating: 4.5 Stars!!!

Wow this author holds nothing back when writing her sexual content! Why the heck have I never come across this author before? I have seriously been neglected!

Sexy…Raw…Dirty…Intense…Erotic…with a touch of Dark. All packed into a short story. That about sums it up!

So lucky me caught a peek of this author’s work on my Instagram page and was immediately drawn in by the cover. Yes, I can admit that when I don’t know the author’s work, it’s the covers that ultimately grab me. These were some NICE covers!! Shallow me 🙂 I immediately looked up the series on Goodreads and without hesitation, added to my TBR. I then went to Amazon and one-clicked. I have since read three of Victoria’s novellas, “Slade,” “Hemy,” and “Cale.” Holy hotness! I read all three in two days!

Walk of Shame is a very popular and erotic male strip club/bar. Slade Merrick is one of the club’s hottest, down and dirty dancers. Slade is intense; he doesn’t care about anything anymore thanks to a tragedy from his past. (Something I didn’t see coming) All he wants out of life is to drink, have dirty sex with random one-nighters and pay his bills. Basically his life’s goal is to stay numb of reality, past memories and the current pain he lives with constantly. I’m just going to say that as much as I was attracted to Slade, I didn’t like him at first. Sorta the way Aspen felt. His attitude was so cliche sometimes. He knew he could have any woman in his bed whenever he wanted. That is until he met Aspen. She was the challenge he never saw coming.

Aspen needed to get away from her home for a while. So she ended up in Chicago. A good friend from her childhood invited her to stay at his house. Cale’s house. Much to Aspen’s dismay, Slade lived their as well. Aspen was attracted to Slade from the moment she laid eyes on him as he was grinding a certain body part against several women, while dancing at the club. Aspen instantly decided to hate him but she also hated herself for her attraction to him. She tried to hide it but the cocky, arrogant, sexy man was not fooled.

But much to Slade’s dismay and surprise, Aspen did not instantly give in to his sex appeal. Oh, she tried to fight it but Slade was too intense, such a dirty talker who knew how to back up his words with steamy actions.

These two characters had some personal issues to get through before finding their HEA. Although I didn’t like some of the things that happened at the very beginning (that’s just my preference), Slade made me love him in the end. For such a short novel, this was packed with a lot of different emotions. I am excited to read more by this author. Slade and Aspen fit perfectly together as a couple. And I loved all the secondary characters.
